I just watched Divide and Conquer and MAN WHAT AN EPISODE! Also Tamaa, I love Tamaa.
I loved it. But I feel the villain song was unnecessary and a forced rewrite of “I can do better than you.” I feel strongly that Tamaa should have sung about how he’s reformed. It would have felt less forced and more upbeat in such a dark episode.
I like how season 2 has way more violence. Finally Kiburi showed up again. The war between the floats reminded me of the final battle in Simbas Pride. Didn't care much for Hodari tho. I wanted more crocodile lore and politics and lion guard being gaurdy.
I thought Hodari was adorable imho. Perhaps the final fight was a throwback to the film? They’re throwing easter eggs to the film into the series that way.
Ok lets steer away from how Rani could destroy many OTPs to DID NO ONE MENTION MAKUCHA CAME BACK? AND NEW LEOPARDS. I think the Golden Zebra is a favorite episode of mine. It had a very good balance of story, character, song and PHYSICAL VIOLENCE. I love when there's fights where TLG have stakes they could lose.
