I... don't think that this is a case of copying though? The person was inspired by HydraCarina, gave credit where it was due, and used other references. It's just a case of someone drawing their character with canon characters. There's nothing wrong with copying a thing, depending on the situation, but I think you're finding fault where there isn't any with this situation here.
Unfortunately, he had another fanart posted under Nadra’s pic that he claims inspirashunz and he had heavily copied Nala off of it. And because I had told him that claiming inspiration doesn’t give you a pass to copy, he’d removed it and blocked me. I’m sorry but he did copy fanart. I know what I saw.
Uh, hey, Kash, about that last post... I don't think it is actually theft to take heavy inspiration from other's artwork? That person gave credit where credit is due, and their artwork is different enough from HydraCarina's. Hell, Nala, Kiara, and Simba look more referenced from TLG and not the original. Plus, I feel like it is hypocritical of you to bash someone like that when you trace over lines from disney to make your art. Just food for thought?

I am super suspicious of this user called prettyinudemon on dA, because a lot of their 'reference sheets' for characters looked like they're traced off of Lil-Cheetah's stuff. :T
It looks like they’re recycling their “line art” as well. And that infant DOES in fact look like Lil-Cheetah’s art.
To be honest, I have two theories about Kovu and him being Scar's heir. The first is that Scar chose him only because he somewhat looked like him (because he's an egotistical assbag) and let Zira raise him because she was his most devout follower. The second is that Zira took Kovu from his birth parents after Scar's death because she thought that Scar was reborn or something, or just because he looked like him in her eyes, because Zira is nuts already. :T I personally lean towards the last one.
The second one is actually a common idea in the fandom. He’s usually Tama and Malka’s cub. I can see why they think that. But the “thought he was reborn” is an interesting twist. Which would explain his name. Kovu which means Scar.
Tfw you see someone post some hate art against Kion using a base, and you feel both annoyed and sad at the submitter for also submitted said hate art with a story of their oc killing Kion. .-. I hate it when I see stuff like that, especially when it seems to be blind hate, but I'd rather not start up a useless shitstorm.

The amount of evidence that’s against them is staggering. They do need to take a chill pill. If they want us to take them seriously, they need to apologize as I’ve said, for their rude behavior. Just because Kopa isn’t canon doesn’t mean the world needs to stop using him. People are allowed to draw him for fun or include him into their fanon. Nuka has not been confirmed that he’s Scar’s son. Until The Lion Guard confirms or denies otherwise. They need to take a chill pill and focus on their own stuff. They’re being a huge asshole in the fandom by doing these horrible things to people and then denying it.

They’re trying to play dumb saying these two accounts aren’t theirs. But it’s obviously theirs by the amount of evidence building up against them. They’ve been trying to deny all afternoon to me in notes on dA that they’re not those sock puppet accounts. They’ve had a hard on for werebereus and his theories and even has a vendetta against Capricornfox for her information regarding Nuka. They claim they wanna be left out of the drama and I suggest that they delete their sock puppet accounts and publicly apologize to everyone they ever attacked on the accounts if they wanna be taken seriously.
