I understand your concern about showing real people. However, I have to clear that for you - these people are not creators of the characters. People in edited pictures are celebrities, youtubers, musicans or just some pretty people from social media sites. Yes, these facebookers tend to recolor photos of real people and then pretend they are them… :/

Apparently her pelt is black because she met Scar’s other son and they are in love (as cubs), and the more they spent together the more evil she grew.
1. That’s Impossible for a lion to turn black.
2. Scar’s son would be her uncle, so she is basically dating a cub that is much older than her, how would it work out? When Vitani grew up, the last of scar’s Cubs would have as well, and when Lion Jesus and his ‘totes cannon soulmate’ have her, there would be no way that dead scar somehow gave dead Zira a cub.

Confession time: I don’t really care for Savu or his bases. He’s another one of those “I don’t care what they do with my art!” people. I use to watch him for a couple of his (her? their?) comics but they’ve dropped one in favor of yaoi Avengers and they’ve passed the gauntlet on to another artist. I’m frankly sick and tired of seeing Savu bases getting spammed in the search results. Let the horse decay already. Stop beating the poor beast.

If anything it’s just a poor recolor. And technically traced bases are a form of theft all things considering. deviantART is just too lazy to enforce it so they allow it.
