Scam alert
Normally I don’t do this, but this one’s a big issue in the base community. This snowflake seems to think as long as they credit their source they can turn anything they find into a base without proper permission, then goes on demanding “No mean or negative comments.” I politely told them that making bases out of people’s artwork without written permission is art theft and frowned upon, they would rather block and hide the issue than change their attitude towards hard working artists.
They’ve stolen from a lot of artists from here and on deviantART. At least they made it easy to find the original source.
Can I just say that traced bases from fan art(permission granted) are annoying?
Because not only can they get outta hand(Look at Savu bases and how there’s a sea of icebergs with traced savu bases) but it’s bothersome to me(personally) because it feels like lazy art.
Sure some people can only do bases, but by recoloring someone’s art without even editing the image feels like time wasted and very lazy.
Not every day I see Tranimals made with base abuse like this. That grey paw is apparently suppose to be Megatron with a fan character. I kind of like the blues used on Arcee and her ‘mom’. Then again I’m just attracted to blue in general.
Because base art is totally hard as fuck to do. It’s hard finding the right one, it’s hard finding the right colors, it’s hard using MSPaint!

Apparently if you’re too lazy to fillbucket a base yourself or even edit it, some people will commission points for it. The only one that looked original was the second image under headshot.
A brief history of art
Before our current status with art that includes literature and music as well as painting, our earlier ancestors drew what they saw on cave walls. They may not have been as on model as romans and the renaissance but they depicted what they saw.
As the renaissance drew near, people looked off models and or animals and learned to draw by sight. Sculpting was also predominant form of art back then(and still is today).
These days, we’re lazy and lucky. We have it easy with digital art. We have tablets. We no longer need to have models before us, we have the internet to find our resources. We only take visual art classes if we’re in college and or want to take it. We also edit screenshots and claim it’s art.
But there is no way on God’s green earth that basing came before art.
Passion came before laziness.
More asinine baserfag ruuruus.
I think #’s 2, 3, 7, and 8 are the funniest.
What’s stopping someone from making the same damn thing? You can’t copyright poses you traced form someone else.
You’re not stopping people from uploading their recolored bases to other websites like Animation Source and fanpop.
You can’t make people credit something you traced. At the very least people should link back, not say “Credit goes to soandso” like you got a reward for tracing Simba.
And as for those “banned from using bases” lists. That’s the stupidest thing I have seen people do. It’s like you’re trying to prevent people from using free line art.
Oh lookie what I found on traced bases. More asinine ruu ruus.
I like adoptables as much as the next person but… this person must’ve nearly drowned in the acid laced kool-aid.
When someone starts posting stuff like this onto TLKFAA… you’re a definite troll
