Fuck yea terrible Lion King fandom
From all the games i've been in, I never understood what is so attractive in roleplaying canon TLK characters (or any other universe) over roleplaying your own FCs and possibly controlling canon ones as some sort of NPCs in a way. I don't even mind giving 'faceless' canon?* characters names either for such a purpose. But roleplaying characters with peronalities you might not fully comprehend or capture well? Characters you likely don't understand from top to bottom over your own original babies?

It doesn’t make sense to me either. Kind of why I feel insecure with reprising my Tumblr role as KnockOut. I was fine while the show was airing but without I’m just a lost kitten afraid of stepping outside. As much as I love my tumblr buddies in the Transformers RP Community I’m too timid. On top of that, art and working on my project has eaten away at my time.

Out of all fan theories you find repetative or illogical or just plain bad, which of them would you consider the worst, and which do you think would make half the fandom shit bricks if they happned to be proven true/canon sometime in the future x) ? (albeit unlikely, still a fun thought to ponder about)

Do crossovers count?

If Steven Universe pulled another shitty crossover stunt like they did with Uncle Grandpa (Which I choose to believe never happened, isn’t canon, and the result of a feverish acid trip) I think that would be the Peridot Janja fusion. Imagine all the SU fans getting pissed off at the improbability of that unstable fusion were it to become legit? The only ones that would likely praise it would be the asbergers trending twats in the TLG fandom.

The other theory however. I think humans would be very much part of TLK. But like the neolithic human, not modern age people. Humans are just as much animals, but I think during that age, they would be still mostly with nature and keep to themselves and the other animals would view them as just some other animal with weird practices that is part of the circle of life. Gosh I really do hate the trope that humans are something special or alien in the eyes of animals! "two-legs, no-furs, etc..."

I like this.

I have two theories! Animals don't usually and can't talk with eachother unless reaised so to the best of their cognitive abilities, but in TLK i think the animal languages are sperated differently. There are groups of animals than can talk with eachother but not with another. Ie. most mammals, birds and reptiles cannot talk to insects or fish. But then, there would also be regional dialects of those animal languages. Ie foreginer lions from far off lands would have their own dialect or language

Hmm! In TLG Simba said he can’t speak “Elephantese” and that lead me to think there’s a dialect or language that only animals can speak and apparently everyone knows lion tongue in order to communicate with their king. I approve!

If an animal is bitted on the ear, the wound will never realistically produce a hole of that shape. Almost always an irregular conical tear unless the one getting his ear bitten stands still. And even in that case it would be like showing a pencil through paper and pulling it out. There would still be the same amount of skin as before. On the other hand, clearly torn of ears have a crease of where the teeth were, if it's a clean cut like zira's case.... (1/2)

(2/2) then it is impossible for it to be natural and likely made by a manmade tool. (ie cats that that played in fields and injured their ears by a combine always have straight cuts. But honestly the ear hole she has looks too…lmao and quite intently drawn like that. Not every artists has a how to draw your wound kit and I just think that realistically, if chars were drawn realistically, Zira’s wound would have teeth marks by a smaller animals (not lionesses) that bit her (honeybadger anyone?)

This is true. I got cut on the ear once and now I have a conical tear. It’s very sm0l and unnoticeable but I know it’s there.

In the case of Zira’s nick

I think the animators were trying to make it easier to draw over and over again. Some tears (like above) can almost look round at certain angles but are still conical shaped. I honestly don’t know how to explain how circular her tear is. I don’t think guns are to blame and I don’t think it was man made.

Very possible indeed and the horrid injury along the drastic personality change could've caused him to loose appetite and therefore not develop as well as Mufasa did...Huh, that's probably why he would come up with an elaborate plan to ursup power, maybe he felt innately weak and being king ws the ultimate -I am powerful symbol-. Might be fun to see if anyone would pick up on the generally less common headcanons or fantheories to fill the blanks the movies have that are tossed around lately.

Excellent~

You might be just right on that being a viable theory right there! It is possible for scar to have been a good cub but got a traumatic brain injury. In humans at least we have observed countless of times how traumatic brain injuries rendered joyful and pleasant people into rude and almost sociopathic personalities, as well as physical changes like loss of sight and it's restoration.(and lobotomies) It is safe to assume that TLK animals' brains are much like ours, so that we can relate better.

On top of all that they’re more human like even if they’re animals. So there’s an outside chance that might’ve happened???

I think those okapis could just be travelers with an explorer's heart and decided to stop by and see some hella neat tradition they got there in the pridelands 8) Like you know those little fun families that travel around the world wanting to see all the sights. They might make for some cute ocs me thinks.

Hmm! I like the twist!

That would be a bad movie idea since between Simba escaping the pridelands up to Timon and Pumbaa, it was just running over desolation till he collapsed. I've got a feeling before that would also be relatively meh, we already have TLG's adventures in the pridelands. The better idear would be his time growing up in the Jungle which TLK just glanced over with a song. It could bring many new friends and foes but I've got a bad feeling Kimba crybabies would antagonize the series further lol...

Fair point. However the going theme for sequels lately is having the protagonist experiencing growing pains or obstacles growing up(Bambi had to face his father who didn’t seem to feel any emotion at first until he spent time with Bambi, and Tarzan was trying to show he was as brave as any other gorilla by facing the Zugor monster which turned out to be a lonely old gorilla). Come to think of it we could probably suffice with him as a cub in the pridelands overcoming a difficult hurdle. A cute idea would be him trying to help the young animals of the Pridelands only for a new antagonist to show up, a bully cub(Be it leopard or lion) or other animal perhaps. Maybe a cape buffalo bully that makes fun of him because he’s scrawny???

I’ll just be honest, the world just doesn’t need Timon and Pumba anymore than we already have them. And they’re on the annoying side as far as cartoon side kicks go. But this is just my opinion.

Light undersides are actually called countershading and it is a form of camouflage. The opposite of which is highly unrealistic in most cases (only seen as a warning colour like in Bunga(it stands out)) since the countershading's purpose is to 'null out' the shadows on an animal, making it meld into the background. Otherwise I think dark muzzlemasks can look good or ones that completely meld into the fur. As long as they are not oversaturated like Tanglemane's. =)

Huh, never knew it was called that. Thanks!
