This is a family tree I made for the Sukalaverse TLK. (Yes, this is SukalaAP, here.) Aaaaand I used a base. :T

I dunno what to think? Usually when it comes to TLK family trees I’m more concerned people didn’t thumbnail steal fan art. I do like the next gen designs tho! And Bald Malka! PFFFT 

id like to put this here for consideration in the past we’ve had problems with Nairon tracing but i think hes at it again? its just that his nose looked different and a lot of things line up in my honest opinon. input please

It could be that they’re heavily referencing these days. But it DOES look like they copied off Rhoadie’s art here. 

WHS06 removed the “Commissioned” artwork that she turned into a base only to re use it for this shit. 

Not only insults the Naruto fandom with all her traces on them but she has the nerve to insult the TLK fandom as well with these horrid colorized lions. How hard is it for her to draw her own work for once instead of taking other people’s art and making lines out of it without their consent. 

Because people over seas hide behind their shitty copyright laws. They think that they allow them to do all this shit.

I wouldn’t be too surprised. Their logic is astounding. They seem to be confusing helpful advice with hate attacks. The only thing I can’t stand seeing on a TLK OC is default MSPaint neon colors. Or any electric neon color for that matter. They burn my retinas. Why go in for corrective eye surgery when all one has to do is look at these god awful creations? You get the same results after laser eye surgery. 

I’m willing to guess they’re salty about this fandom because they were scorned for making acid laced kool-aid lions? 

I would also like to point out that traced bases use to say put effort into making your lions. No one click lazy wonders. Meaning even the tracers didn’t wanna see kool-aid vomit on their bases.

My apologies for submitting this anonymously, but I just feel better doing it 😅

My favourite TLK fan comic has to be AudreyCosmo13’s ‘Missing Pieces’ – the base storyline/-lines are honestly nothing out of the ordinary or something one rarely sees in fan comics (e.g. Mufasa’s and Scar/Taka’s youth, what life in the Pridelands was like during Simba’s Hakuna-Matata-period etc.), but I still appreciate AudreyCosmo’s style of writing, and her art style which makes the characters look very cute (I think they just look a bit more round …?)
Also, she seems like a cool person to begin with – I’d also recommend her fan art for her sense of humour 😄

It’s on indefinite hiatus at the moment with pages being added quite sporadically but according the comic’s description on deviantArt, it will be finished – keeping my hopes up for a new page!

I’m sorry butthurt baww babies had to ruin anonymous asks for you, anon. But it’s looking like they’re proving my point. That they’re only here for attention and attacking me is the only way to get it. It never was about opinions on character design. Just a sour grapes attempt at getting attention. I’m going to turn Anon asks back on this Friday. 

Back to your post. Yes Missing Pieces is great! I enjoy it myself. 

I also remember Kati-Kopa’s* Hidden Stories. Those were great too. 

Also hope you don’t mind, I changed your submitted pic. Didn’t know where to find the source so changed it to a public image Disney pic.

I think she missed the point where they said from the beginning that Ushari was going to be a villain. 

But I do feel bad for Ushari half the time. He’s constantly run over by the guard, more specifically Bunga. And no one apologizes. Did their parents teach them nothing? 

This is the design. She’s a cave hyena and supposed to be my main online persona. My worry is her spots. Are they too much?

I know she doesn’t really fit TLK, but I’m hoping to get commissions of her sometime but worry if her design is too complicated. 

She’s very pretty as a stand alone right now. But for sun on her rump, try simplifying it for the artists you want to commission. Maybe break it down to simplicity similar to her ankle markings on her hind feet? 

With the birthday gift drama. I’m in the process of changing the image, I had not confirmed with Jen2(Wimbi) what her character looked like at the time of drawing because I wanted it to be a surprise. Sorry that I was trying to keep to the tradition of keeping gifts a mystery until received because it makes it more fun for both parties when it is a nice gift. I was not kept informed about their relationship or the character’s design status.I try not to pry into other people’s friendships/relationships unless they bring it up first. I was trying to be nice to her because her computer was broken so she missed my birthday message and make up for that issue.

Now if Rhoadie or anyone else had actually been looking at my other works, they would see that I have disclaimers like that on the Birthday gift image. So the disclaimer was meant and is still meant for the real art thieves who post things like this on Youtube or turn it into a base. I didn’t even submit the picture to Rhoadie’s group, the group asked me so again Wimbi and I did not conspire to upset Rhoadie.

So putting this issue to bed now. If I had intentions of being malicious/threatening/spiteful towards Rhoadie, I would be using this, which is my character Roka, that she put in her special closed species design, just to piss her off.  I haven’t because as stupid as it sounds I have enough respect for her to not use her species even thought that has my character’s design which means I would have every right to use the species and design. It’s my character she put in the species so I have every right to use it.

If Rhoadie was that truly upset over the image, she has my skype address, my hotmail email, my furaffinity, my lioden account, and dA (All my ends on these accounts are unblocked to her) to inform me of the issue with the character instead of making a ruckus for Wimbi and having Wimbi contact me, late at night and upset, while I’m writhing in pain from a recent injury that has left me unable to walk without wanting to take a bonesaw to my hip joint and cut my entire leg off.

Now Rhoadie can quit playing the victim of this fiasco as she could have settled by sending a quick note of “Hey Wimbi has returned the character design to me”, “Hey this isn’t Wimbi’s character design any further but I like the piece so could you keep it as fanart and make a new piece for Wimbi”, or even “the character design you posted is no longer Wimbi’s could you please change it?” would have worked. 

I would have HAPPILY changed it sooner, or can leave it as fanart for Rhoadie to do with as she pleases  and draw Wimbi a new one or two. The attempting to pressure me to work faster on altering the gift to Wimbi does not help my art, and it will be a thorn in Rhoadie’s side longer. Not naming names but do cease and desist.

Thank you Kash for allowing me to post this so I could get this out in the open for everyone who is not my follower to see and not get sucked into this really truly stupid argument. I hate creating drama and do everything even things I am not proud of to make the drama get swept under the rug. This should be enough evidence to this matter that the intentions behind the image were altruistic and no one was targeted as much as the people who are pressuring me claim.

That being said I don’t have issues redoing a piece if there is a problem and I’m made aware of it in a polite manner.

I’m just sorry she chose to be a drama queen instead of being mature and contacting you privately. I’m sorry that this happened. 

I tried explaining the disclaimer situation to one of my anons who thought otherwise. Some people just don’t seem to understand that if our art gets enough traffic it’s going to be found by malicious people. 

We’re artists, it’s an occupational hazard. 

I hope things calm down for the two of you.
