So the person who stole Rhodie’s lioness design [who she called Shari] wants to adopt like nearly all of my adopts on a sheet I am selling. I don’t really wanna sell to her bc of her really lousy history I’ve seen established here, do you think it would be morally wrong to deny this person the right to adopt my designs or should I go with my gut and say no you can’t adopt them?
I know which one you are refering to, currently in a headache inducing argument–they decided to pick back up–that Simba copied Kimba because ER MEH GERD HYENA FALL IN THORNS DUR HUR HUR! Unfortunately, it would be morally wrong to withhold the adoptables from them despite the fact that we despise this ‘fan’.
Just gonna put this here in case ya need to use it ouo
HAH!

Pt 2:
So probably about 10 minutes after he was booted, he tried to rejoin (and was declined). Well I got this little message thread in my inbox. It ended with him blocking me again. He unblocked me this morning, so I fully expect a message from him in the next few hours.
But I love how he says I’m not even a lion king fan. Shit. Guess I gotta delete my DA with all of my fan characters now. My TLK fan card has been revoked.
I didn’t know we had to steal fan art to be real TLK fans. Guess I should rage quit this blog since my fan card has also been revoked!

Pt 1:
So I help mod a Lion King fanpage on facebook in my spare time. One of our rules is to not post fanart you didn’t make, no matter how it’s posted. Well we got a reported post, and I hopped on to inform the guy that his post contained stolen artwork. The following happened.
After this, he blocked me (another rule he broke, as you cannot block admins in the group), and reposted his post. He got a swift boot for this. The next post is his reaction and the ensuing argument.
Note: His name will not be censored through any of this. Any guy who talks to a woman like this deserves to have his name blasted in my book.
Agreed. And anyone who uses that type of slang is a dateless wonder in my book.
Hello! First time submitting, long time appreciator of the blog and your work, Kash. I’m just submitting to ask for a bit of advice on this piece I’m working on from you and followers of this blog who may be able to help me. The basic idea is Simba in a ¾ view from behind type dealio but something looks a bit off to me and I’d love some advice! Thanks in advance!
Hmm, it could be the ear or the cheekbone. It could also be that we’re not seeing his other shoulder. Anyone have any advice?
When you don’t wanna tell a boy you don’t want to date him so instead you tell him to climb a tree to the top in order to date you.
Perfect plan Sarafina :U
{ The cubs are Sarafina, Naanda and Nyota [Nala’s dad in the tree] }
Oh, a fun way to explain how he got into the tree and had to be rescued!
Hello! I’m Azerae, the adopter of one of the cubs people took an immediate shitfit over, as well as a close friend of Claire’s. I decided to do a quick sketch of the cub adopted to show that I have no intention of making her a Bali bootleg/ripoff {isn’t she originally the Asha bootleg?}. I drew her appearance how I saw fit and even gave her darker colors as an adult. Hopefully this causes the storm to die down a little :’D
And no, I didn’t submit this to stir shit even more {drama isn’t my forte}– I submitted because I wanted people to know that her design is in good hands and that she was not intentionally made the Bali ripoff that everybody seems to believe the crybaby over. I used the design that Claire altered, and then altered her myself to make her adult colors. Apologies if she seems to take after another character!
See guys? You threw an absolute fantrum for no reason. Lisa may as well go around claiming COPEHRIGHT on brownish gold and tan cubs at this rate.
I repeat myself:
It’s up to the buyer on what they do with the color palette.
These guys are looking lovely, by the way! I also love the bags under their eyes :D
Needless to say I do not agree with that Lisa has been doing all these years, and I am by now means a fan of hers. However, that doesn’t make this alright. Declaring this is a coincidence seems a little too generous in my opinion. I think by now Claire has edited the adopts a little but that doesn’t change the fact that this definitely doesn’t look like a coincidence at all. No matter what Lisa has done, doing something like that and then denying it to be intentional won’t ever be okay.
I agree, spite theft should not be done. But this is a case where coincidence has indeed happened. You mash together two canon characters and try to come up with a design without overlapping something that’s already out there. I’ve seen plenty of Vitani designs that have the ear rims. And I’ve seen plenty of Kovu designs that are tannish brown and have a stripe down the middle. Maybe instead of bitching at me, ask Claire for her side of the story. She’ll tell you the same damn thing.
Supposedly it was concept art for the Timon and Pumbaa’s Christmas episode? That’s all I could find when I tried digging deeper so makes me wonder, what was this episode originally like or is this concept art for an entirely different episode?
I question Red Pandas in all of this. Because yeah, they are NOT African. Who blundered that one?
Ok so if you know me I am trash who loves to make AMVs First one is Two Worlds set to Lion King 2 https://youtu.be/NLQWH-wkTdI
