Do I even want to know the context behind that "cute lion penis" post?...
I came across someone having drawn it in their reference and called it ‘cute’.
What exactly is it that makes a lion/cheetah hybrid OC hard to believe? After all, it's in the same universe where we have no trouble believing ghost lions can show up in the sky, cubs can get magic roars, and baboons can send lion couples on LSD trips. A hybrid like that doesn't sound like much in comparison to a lot of other fantastical elements in of TLK, so what makes a cheetah/lion a different case for you?
Well, even if TLK universe is wild and magical, it’s still realistic as stated by the producers. That (to me) means animals can’t crossbreed with one another. Even if they’re of the same genus. Now if they were animals that likely could crossbreed and produce healthy hybrid offspring, say lion and leopard, that can happen. Meanwhile, if two characters are of different species that aren’t compatible realistically, they could adopt like what Timon and Pumba did.
Do you suppose there could ever be an extended edition of SP? They recently came out with a version of The Iron Giant which had a couple new scenes fully animated for it, so maybe Disney could do the same for one or two of the Lion King films. Does it sound like something they'd ever do, or is it just wishful thinking?
Well, it’s not too far fetched of an idea. In the Diamond Edition release of TLK they animated a broadway song Zazu sang just for the release. So who knows? Maybe if we’re really lucky they might do that.
Since I've been learning to play guitar for a while now, one of the things I want to do the most is play a cover Call of the Lion Guard with it. I mean the whole 4 minute version too. I want to make it sound like a Van Halen or Def Leppard style hard rocker as a tribute to it. Does that sound stupid to you?
For all the things people want to see in The Lion Guard (The Kovu episode, the original trio, possible word on Sarabi or Sarafina, etc.), I kind of hope the writers don't blow their load on the first season. Think about it: If everything the fandom is currently clamoring for happened soon, there'd be less incentive to keep watching the show past the first season, because all the best ideas will have already been used up. As much as I want to see done in the show, I hope it's spread out a bit.
Exactly. Things need to be spaced apart. Otherwise we’d run out of fun things.
I came up with a story where Kion's daughter uncovers a hidden chamber beneath the Lion Guard's lair, and in it, she finds an elaborate mural painted by one of Rafiki's ancestors. It turns out that it depicts the very first Lion Guard from 50 years prior, and even has a paw mark left by its leader. Once the original 5 died, the underground chamber was sealed to preserve their remains. Essentially, it's the tomb of the first guard, something even Kion knew nothing about before. What do you think?
I personally don't like how everyone wants either a prequel or a midquel to TLK in general. It's part of the problem I have with midquels and prequels to begin with: They're just pointless to me. With most stories, I want to move forward instead of dwelling on the past. With prequels/midquels, it always feels like the writers are stalling with opportunities for moving forward. The past is the past, but the future can be literally anything, which is always more interesting and less limited to me.
Well, everyone’s different. We don’t know what Disney will give us if they’re secretly planning something or not. We can only wish for now.
For the first time, KissCartoon has failed me. The new Lion Guard episode is up on it, but the audio was slowed down to the point of sounding horrifying, it's WAY out of sync, and it's not even the whole episode. I tried downloading/editing it to fix it, but the episode cut off mid-sentence at the end of the file. I don't know what the hell happened.
I’ve found myself on DailyMotion for Steven Universe episodes. Try DailyMotion for New TLG episodes? Relate if they have them or not? Beware, Kisscartoon uploads their cartoons to DailyMotion so you might have to sift through them to find one that’s semi normal.
If you had to estimate in human years, how old would you say each Lion Guard member is?
Varying in age from 12-16 in human years. I’m guesstimating that Fuli’s the oldest. Followed by Beshte as the second oldest. I wager Kion’s the youngest.
Is it bad that, aside from Scar's guard, I genuinely don't care about anything that happened pre-TLK? All the fan material for Ahadi/Uru, young Mufasa, Sarabi or Sarafina, or any of that jazz just gets unbearably annoying to me for some reason, and I genuinely couldn't care less about anything at all that ever happened before Simba was born.
That’s alright. I can understand as I’m genuinely tired of the murderess Zira trope.
