Shit. I left out the biggest deal. You can't legally make them STOP. You can legally make them pay money and punish them, but afterwards it becomes you have to fine them or call the cops or whatever. As restraining orders work and other legal matters, it becomes you have to catch them in the act or doing it, then report them and shit. So it becomes a job. A job of hunting down every copycat and suing them unless you're Disney and have your own people who do it for you. Please remember this guys.
How much money you make is normally split on lawyers, from what someone in my family told me on a case, the shit was 8,000$, the lawyer was of the "if we lose you get charged nothing", additional fees were rounding that up to 10k$, and by the time they won I believe they made back barely half of that and that's the normal with legal cases, it's more about winning than it is making money, don't get me wrong, if they're a business, you cam easily make millions, a kid online? Not so much.

Given sushidogs are owned by one of the biggest party-ers and wasters of money, thousands of dollars in debt(last I heard) and shady-dodges it by selling more sushi dogs, I'd say the only way any of us copyrighting anything and being able to defend it would be if we had deep pockets. I don't know actual costs, but lawyers in general run steep, which is why we tend to not sue someone over stealing a toaster or giving us a hard shove in a hallway, you don't really make a lot off it normally.
Exactly why I didn’t follow through with suing that Korean party planner mom and pop shop that stole my fucking fan art for profit and proceeded to bawwlock me on all forms of media. A) Didn’t have the money and time and B) doubt I would have won the case.
All comes down to money, honestly. Filing a huge legal order on people who make under thirty dollars is nothing to Disney, but if you're say, a best seller, a famous popufur, or hit the news, that implies you're making the cash, and they will gut you for every profit you make. This is why I'm highly recommending people who do TLK works and take it to original material or books, you stay as far from TLK colours or any of that shit, once you rise up, you will be shot down while flying high.
Yep, you need to break a certain budget. For example, MLP plush makers or artists who become big top shots raking in cash often end up getting cease and desists. Likewise if you post a book like say. . . 50 Shades, the only reason that flew soon as it hit the news was Twilight's author "didn't care". Had she, there would be no 50 Shades of bullshit. It's all about how much you rake in, how big you get, and if you publish or hit the news, then you'll get dug out and gutted clean like a clam.
I see people bringing up the Disney copyright. The whole thing tends to take place as soon as someone makes it big or hits the news. Say for example the AskMolestia blog never got taken down and Hasbro ignored it, but as soon as it was news worthy, they swooped in and sniped that bitch down. Copyright works when the person makes enough money or publicity to attract public news, once it's big enough, they are legally implored to defend it, violently and without mercy. Hope that helps.

I hope in a few more years the fandom gets over its ruffled jimmies about Kion's roar. So many people yank it out because "OP" or "magic doesn't exist" when magic was implied or here and there throughout TLK so much I could write a book on all the moments where they hinted or implied it existed.
Hopefully they will clam down after a few more seasons.
I have hand tremors and it often shows in some areas when I do art, but I've been able to do some smooth ass art if you just rework and redo stuff. It sucks, I also get arm spasms that have caused me to basically have my hand jerk straight across the paper or tablet. Every health or medical issue normally can be worked around otherwise blind artists and deaf musicians would not exist. If you think you can't do any kind of art because of something, you're giving yourself big crutches.
