Stay safe out there, guys! Be sure and ask for either half upfront or all upfront on your commissions and adoptables. I know it’s hard to want to hold something for someone out of nicety, but your art is your livelihood, your earnings, don’t let people take advantage of you, and don’t be afraid to put your foot down on choosey beggars.
Artwork being sold on cheap knock off bedding sets on Amazon.
Please, if you recognize the artist, note them. Artists, if you recognize your works, I implore you to report this.
I finally got an “I won’t be able to pay you, but I can pay you with exposure!” request.
What I find ironic is that they apparently have this big budget for this huge fancy production they’re boasting, buuuut they magically don’t have a portion of that budget for art.
That raises red flags that it’s a scam, to me.
This week seems to be busy for tracers. Nairondragon has been caught tracing for commissions here with this one. It’s suspected that she’s tracing for others as well.
Originals:
http://bluebell-horse.deviantart.com/art/Bluebell-Pup-105019973 (Line art belongs to someone else)
http://street-light-adopts.deviantart.com/art/adoptables-OPEN-148222818 (More line art made by someone else)

Apparently I can’t direct link the last one. But the turn around is traced off Balto reference sheets.
Would not be surprised the rest of their commissions are traced either. Sources for theirs is currently being collected by a friend who’s better at this than I am. More proof to come.
Okay artists listen up. If you get a comment of any type like this where they ask for art and offer exposure or “High offer” or any other bullshit that won’t pay your bills or put food in front of you, ignore them. It’s a scam to get free art. When you take commissions you ask for your money either full upfront first or half first. You do not want to get scammed out of your talent and hard work from assholes like this. These types of characters are vultures.
