I’m going to come out and say it: Default traced base gray characters are BORING. There are too many of them and lions in TLK aren’t pure solid gray. Not even the outlanders that ARE gray. 

If you chop off Kovu’s hair, recolor it, then slap it on Simba, that falls under the heading of recoloring. 

TLK has been out, what? 20 some odd years and kids still think Simba killed Scar? Killing would be the action of ending his life. Simba over threw* Scar and it was the hyenas that killed Scar out of rage for what Scar said in defense to preserve his life. 

Save them from what? Exactly. Art thieves?
