Fuck yea terrible Lion King fandom

Got ourselves a “traditional artist” copying off other artists for quick clout.

Kopa was originally done by Kati-Kopa

Originally drawn by EmilyJayOwens

Copied off of @panther85-art’s YCH which is not free line art

And one of MalisTLK’s cub adopts

This is why I don’t trust “traditional artists.” Far too many of them copy off of artists online for quick efame and clout, not understanding proper fandom etiquette. Also, do note that this one claims that they’re young in their profile, using their age as a shield. They very clearly know what they’re doing and hope to use their age to avoid consequences of their actions.

To put one’s age in their profile, when one is very clearly copying off popular artists is like saying, “Please don’t hurt me, I’m brittle!”

laughable-lion-king-art:

Pretending to be an artist by editing over fan art and claiming they drew it, or straight up claiming fan art is a base.

Their instagram where they’ve posted lots of theft: https://www.instagram.com/the_female_simba/

Ain’t nothing worse than a 20 something year old pretending to be something they’re not through stealing from others. They may as well use AI with that behavior of theirs.

Yes, yes, “Because I said so,” totes means they got permission and, “You don’t even know the whole story!” is just another dodgy excuse for, “I didn’t get permission and you’re backing me into a corner!”

Update, I’ve since been bawwlocked by this adult and our conversation deleted, who swore by their say so that Kitchiki allowed them to recolor their work and claim originul the art donut steel. 20 something year olds are like children cosplaying as adults, I swear.

Art thief memelord using fan art in their meme edits without credit and deletes comments asking them to cease.

A list of their stolen works and their sources can be found here https://www.deviantart.com/claire-cooper/journal/Decided-to-be-a-Problem-1067877855

And of course he’s another brony who thinks they’re entitled to fan art.

Treating fanart like his own private coloring book. Gentle reminder, your disability is not a shield. The consequences of your actions bow to no shield.

You never really understand just how unhinged Warriors cats fans are until you get one telling you to kill yourself, but also claim they suicided themselves in the same breath because how very dare they lose an argument about copyright.

Normally, I don’t share off topic stuff, but once in a while, something so egregious as this hot take gets my attention that it has to be shared. Because claiming you took your life over a losing argument about copyright, shouting death threats at people because you couldn’t get your way is truly fucking childish and insulting to people who struggle with mental health issues and survivors of suicide.

Now for a fun game I like to call, spot the entitled AI bro.

This thug thinks fan art is fair use just because it’s online and blocks anyone who calls them out.

They blocked me because all I said was “It’s fandom etiquette to credit the line art if you use it.”

There’s no shame in using traced bases or someone else’s line art if you can’t draw. But if you’re going to behave like this, and block people who asked politely to credit the base maker or who made the line art you used, that doesn’t look good on you. Especially if you claim originul the art donut steel on traced bases or line art.
