I found this on Deviantart, why does this Simba lookalike look like he was eating ink? that black stuff over his mouth? looks so weird to me, why do people make the underbelly colors ‘darker’ than the base color?
It can be pretty if done correctly, for instance using a saturated brown color that’s darker than the main pelt as opposed to a solid black color. This fellow would be prettier if that black was a dark greyish brown maybe. Just not solid black like this. It’s a color theory rule that animators use in the animation industry. Solid black does not work on the screen. That’s why honey badgers in TLG are saturated medium warm colors instead of solid black. Hecc, even Flower(Bambi) is a saturated dark grey color, and not solid black. The closest to solid black we got from TLG were the crows and they weren’ t solid black. They were a dark grey.
There are lots of ugly characters in Instagram’s recolor culture
God…what a work of art!(notice my sarcasm please!)
It seems to be a growing trend on Instagram for children to treat fan art like their own personal coloring pages and call it ‘editing.’ And a LOT of these characters are ugly McEdge mother fuckers.
(the weirdest one I’ve seen on that list of uggos, what the hell is up with them eyes?)
Oh, I’’m happy to be a part of both fandoms, I’ve meet some wonderful people from all over the world, thanks to tlk and mlp
I just cant stand crossovers between them, I mean okay if they are decent..But ususally it comes to ‘lioncorns’ or rainbow colored lions and putting these things into the tlk universe..Well..I just cant take these seriously xD
Neon colors belong on ponies goddamnit. Those things, if they existed on the plains of Africa, they’d be dead the moment momma lion leaves to hunt. They stand out like a sore thumb against the surroundings.
Here, have some absolutely awful recolor collage for laughs
Simply terrible!
Its sad bc this Laurine person seems to have a understanding of editing. Sure, her story telling is really bad to the point that she should get herself a story editor to slap some sense into her but her editing has good potential. If only she would learn to drawwww. Honestly kinda tempted to leave a comment that says she should learn to art so she can be reasonably talented in both areas instead of bucket fill tooling-stealing fan art and screen shots. Though I am sure it would get me lynched by rabid fan brats bc sweet jesus lord almighty look at the views it has and how many damn episodes 0_0
That’s the problem with Youtube repost culture. You get a cult following that will blindly attack anyone that speaks even remotely negative about their senpai waifu. You either gotta have a backbone to crack a few of theirs, or hide under a rock where it’s safe.
I’m beginning to notice a trend where Youtubers slap neon barf on a TLK lion and call it an originul the character donut steel. Other fandom fanbrats do that too but it seems to stem from Youtube.
I’m seriously starting to think the Lion King “editing” community followed this video as gospel on how to make an OC without realizing it was satire: https://youtu.be/3uGNIP4wVjc rofl
It would not surprise me as many OCs are terrible and created on the fly to fit in with the fandom then get treated like they put years of work into them. At least the ones that aren’t acid laced kool-aid vomit here are pretty despite their edginess.
Positively hideously ugly OC. Needs more angst.
These are three google plus accounts I found. I think they’re run by the same person. They also have a youtube account. However the first image on top is one of the pieces they stole. AlbinoRaven knows I informed her she is trying to figure out how to comment and get it removed.
Worst part is this idiot tells others not to steal “Her work.“
These twats exist on Google+ and I’m not surprised anymore. But dayum why must they choose uggo colors?
