I must admit, for some of the recolors, they’re pretty damn impressive.
I don’t know why everyone’s complaining about The Lion Guard having ruined the TLK series. If Anything the Timon and Pumba show has damaged TLK as a whole. Many fans don’t consider it canon on many counts and the show was more looney tooney than anything, a literal money grab attempt. And yet that didn’t completely obliterate the series of films itself from existence.
Because I apparently can’t reblog this.
I’m going to come out and say it.
You’re entitled to a NOtp. Everyone has one. That doesn’t make you a monster.
It IS a kid’s show, kids aren’t going to care and many of these characters are children within the 7-10 age range. And this show is aimed at kids within the 3-10 age range. You’re making a mountain out of a mole hill over a one second clip of two lion CUBS nuzzling.
It’s fine to ship these characters if they’re older, with the art I’ve seen it’s hard telling what age they are(I suspect they’re teens in these fan pics but it’s difficult telling). And that’s fine. But these are child characters. You have to remember that.
Going by that logic, then hundreds of animated sequels that didn’t get a theatrical release aren’t canon either.
So i looked into the same user who did the MS paint image and i had to laugh at this.
How is kion not cannon ? does this mean the lion guard was just some dream.Because to me it seems like the user who posted this meme seems to think so.

I think it’s hilarious that he’s pitching a temper tantrum over the existence of The Lion Guard using edited screenshot memes or Macros as other websites call them.
Of course Kion is canon. Whether or not he’s canon to the original film’s universe is still up for debate.

It’s not been confirmed whether Shenzi is the clan leader. It’s pure fan speculation due to the fact that hyena females are the leaders of clans in the species.
