Hate to break it to ya tootsie pop but this is a recolor. 

Ever notice how it’s becoming widely popular to claim it’s a base and/or an edit on recolors these days? 

This is apparently suppose to a family of recolored clip art. 

Third tier of fan laziness. Minor recolor change on clip art and call it a new character! 

Besides not even bothering to give color to a traced base gray base, this is your next tier in laziness. Need I remind you that not all lions are #ffffff white. Even the snow white lions are eggshell in color. Hell Kimba even had some color to him.

The top ones look like they just marched off the site of a nuclear waste site. 

This collab looks a little off

That’s because it’s a recolor collab with poor recoloring skills. Or just plain ass lazy.  

It looks like a mutant beaver with those teeth in the front. 

If someone could explain why doing this with Pokemon sprites is so popular(I see Mufasa and Scar recoloured Pokemon sprites a bunch), I’d appreciate it.

Recolors aren’t even allowed on dA. Especially sprites as they’re copyright bound by the companies.

They also seem to think that they’re fooling people when they claim their other account(which also posts traced line art/fan art) is a separate being from them.
