I don’t mind bases bc at least you can edit the line art to make your lion not look like the lion from the movie it’s probably inked from. Recoloring and then saying it’s your original character I’ve never understood bc this is supposed to be a Kiara/Kovu offspring but all I see is Vitani with the default blue color on Microsoft paint for eyes. I’m not trying to offend the editor but bra who made this, if you see this, you can do so much better and learn art!

I’m all for using bases, but this is a straight-up trace/recolor off popular infant Simba clipart this person is passing off as his original the fan art donut steel. Should have figured weaboos would be butthurt when being politely informed about tracing. Not bothering to hide his username since he’s bawwlocked me.
Found this in the TLG tag on dA and I already knew that it was art theft AND recolored. I don’t know who the original artist is though.
And they recolored it twice. I thought it was Eyes, but she says it’s not and that it does look familiar to her. She’s trying to track down the original. Judging by the pixelated edges, it looks like they cut it out of the original image. It looks like a cub mufasa to me that got recolored horribly.
Update: Source found. Original artist is Howikin.

I stand corrected, it wasn’t traced off of TC, it was just flat ass traced right off of TLG. Seems she’s tracing to earn, not learn. Thaaaaat could get you into trouble. Especially since she was so very aggressive and defensive about it.
They may have frankentraced the feet off of TLG thinking no one would notice, but frames 2-4 are @xxtc-96xx‘s art.

Well, I mean they at least TRIED. I just wish people would use traced bases instead of resorting to recolor for these “master pieces”. You get a better quality look with bases at least instead of an attempt at finger painting.
