hiya, i found this on AS being used as an avatar but i’m not sure who the original artist is. think you can do some detective work?

i already checked with hydracarina, but this isn’t her work.

It might be traced from the film. But if anyone can recognize it, please give a shout in the ask box! 

TLKSam is still tracing and passing it off as drawing. It seems the only thing they don’t trace are Warrior Cats because there isn’t a fanartist they can trace off of. Bonus claiming bg reference, only for them to draw a couple strands of grass over a screenshot bg. 

So, I just want to make something perfectly clear. Your st.ash is joined at the hips of your deviantART account. If you’re having problems it’s likely either A) Eclipse ver. or B) it’s the app. 

If you claim you cannot click into your st.ash and is not because of those two things you’re being immature and not taking responsibility and giving excuses as to why you can’t and not wanting to waste ten minutes of your time that it takes to edit your adopts folders to replace recolored fanart with proper base edits. 

Recolor culture is cancer. The only cure is responsibility. 

I have not seen a kid pull “This is inspiration!” card out of their ass in a while. They also shout “Credit to the artist!” as if that makes it okay to steal.

For Part Two, I will be using another Insta post that reposted my art without my consent and, after I asked them politely to remove the art, they deleted it and then reposted it to get rid of my watermark. 

I want to thank those for keeping me up to date with mentions on who reposts my art. It’s the only way I can find them. 

This form is simple but may be complicated to others, so I will try to inform you of what to do. What you first do is select copyright, and then select “Continue with your copyright report.” 

That will open up with a new section. Select “I found content which I believe infringes my copyright,” then select “Continue with my copyright report.” 

Now an indepth look at this. 

1. Contact Information is important life blood of any DMCA file. I know it can be scary to give out your personal data but it’s vital if you want them to listen to you and remove your work. 
2. Content You Want to Report is basically simple. This is where you report the vilating post that stole your character or your artwork. 
3. Your copyright Work(s) is where you will be providing links to your content on your account or website and providing a .psd file as proof of ownership. 
4. Declaration is also important as this confirms you’re reporting your stolen content. 

Just as it suggests, you fill out all these fields. You file your legal name, and job responsibility. Unless you’re with a business or company that didn’t want something leaked or reposted from the source, just click other/notapplicable in this dropdown menu. Fill out your mailing address and phone number, email address and confirm your email address. For Rights Owner, you’ll want to fill out your full name. 

Now we get into the nitty gritty and report the offender. You’ll choose Photo or video, and in the drop down menu you have a few options to choose from. For me, I chose “other,” and wrote that this user has reposted my works without consent.  

In the field provided, link to the offending post you wish to report. 

We now dive into “Your Copyrighted Work(s)”. Select “Provide your copyrighted work,” and choose from the dropdown menu why you’re reporting this post. This menu offers a ton of reasons. 

You can choose to select “A character I created,” if someone has stolen your character and are badly RPing it on Insta. For me, I chose “Artwork I created.” 

You’ll then want to link to the deviation or source that the devs can find your artwork. Although this is optional, you can hook up a .psd file to further prove ownership. Although they say they only accept a few formats included .psd, I have had good results with .clip. 

Confirm your Declaration and select agree then send, and bing, bang, boom, you’ve successfully filed a DMCA on Insta. Results vary from person to person but I’ve successfully had two accounts removed by filling out the form this way. 

So, since there is a situation where people don’t know how to report, here’s a two part tutorial that will help y’all. It’s how I’ve gotten a couple accounts deleted for reposting my art on instagram. 

1. You’re going to want to click the three dots found beside the username. 
   
2. Click Report User. 
3. You’ll want to choose Other>Other>Intellectual Property Violation. 
4. IPV will open up into Insta’s Help Center on the topic of Intellectual Property. 
5. You’ll want to click the blue highlighted link that reads “Learn More About Reporting Copyright Violations.” 
6. It will open you up to their topic on Copyright. 
7. Click the blue highlighted link that reads “this form,” it will open up into their DMCA takedown form. 

I will further discuss how to report a post on Insta in part two. 

Short version, Bronies are idiots. 

Nutshell version of what’s going on: 

Brony asks artist to ‘reference’ their art. Artist says yes. 

Brony doesn’t reference artist’s art, they recolor it, add an accessory to it and call it originul the art donut steel credit to the artist! 

Brony is blind to what referencing is. Brony is 30-years-old and dumb as a dirt clod. 

I try to link to my favorite video that explains what referencing really is, I get a sheep with an authority complex in demanding to have the last word. 

It’s amazing that the sheep will always shout about “DURR UR NO DIFFERNT U COPY TLK!!!!” 

What had me roaring in laughter was that the sheep dare said the brony they were defending had a ‘style’ when they were literally just recoloring someone else’s work. 

And the 30-year-old brony is still oblivious to what referencing really is.
