Heavily copying fan art from MalisTLK, to Ko-lionworld, to Panther85 and maybe more. Blocked deviants warning them and asking them to stop, and removed the comments. Clearly doesn’t care that they’re treating fan art like a personal coloring book.
Once more, dA’s site wide contest brings out the art thieves.
Malis has left for Patreon and the shit stains are still stealing from her verbatum.
It’s not that we’re demanding she delete her channel (although she kinda deserves worse with how she behaved in the last week), we’re just asking her to replace the stolen fanart in her videos. She so claims that she has contacted the artists–who also claim they have not been contacted by her(Malis made no comment about being contacted)–and didn’t bother waiting for their reply(Never mind the fact she chose to steal from inactive artists) and went on playing the victim card with assumed claims of death threats which are nonexistent from what I see. The call-out journal that exists is merely warning people and the artists she stole from of her scandalous, entitled bitch behavior. It is in no way defamatory or harassment. She has 0 proof to back her up in her accusations and her threats about going to the police are the idle threats of a teenager backed into a corner.
She could have resolved this issue by removing the stolen fanart, but instead, the glitz and glamour of having videos reaching views in the thousands has clouded her better judgment and has to draw this out longer than it has to. There’s proof she’s a scamming thief, there’s proof she’s lying. If she does take this to the police, there’s a strong chance she’s gonna be held in contempt for filing a false police report.
It seems weaboos feel entitled to fan art because they can get away with cutting out anime screenshots. These weren’t even separated from their original image all that well, to begin with.
Idk if this counts but I’m like 95% certain this person is tracing other artists, as well as 100% certain they’ve traced from the movie. I can pinpoint malistlk’s work specifically.
It’s hilarious to me that they’ve named their channel slothastic and yet produced lazy and stolen content.
There is some other works in there that I think are from lil-cheetah and someone else. don’t recognize them.
A brony on dA by the name of Shadeila has just recently surfaced as being a frankentracer and heavy copycat that likes to target MalisTLK and @kitchikishangout . She had the balls to claim that she had never seen MalisTLK’s art in the first image comparison. And went on to editing her art saying she did not steal, when there’s evidence that she clearly did. There’s still more art that looks copied or traced from other fan artists in her gallery.
Well, I wasn’t gonna post this, but the person clearly knows what they’re doing and have ignored my comment in the last 48 hours(Believe me I’ve checked to see if they frequent dA, and they do).
They heavily copied off of MalisTLK’s cub Roho pose on his reference sheet for the cub, and then claimed originul the fanart donut steel. Some salty piss baby is gonna go “But you can’t copyright a pose!” and while true, the thing to remember is, if it’s dynamic enough to recognize the source, it falls under art theft. That’s why I recognized this as being MalisTLK’s, the forelimbs were exactly how she draws them. That was dynamic enough to catch this person in the act.
What’s worse is this is for a roleplaying group called Valley of the Kings. IDK whether it’s on dA or a Discord server. But I seem to recall that group does not approve of copying or tracing fanart.
I wouldn’t be surprised if this one has other heavily copied fan art in their gallery.
