It seems like they’ve heavily referenced as opposed to traced or hard copied. They may have traced some lements, though. But it’s not a 100% line up to the original

Okay, turning myself in here. I just did this. I wanted to play around with my characters pelt colors in different lighting. Also with outlining in a color besides black, since that’s what I normally outline in.
I made it two simba recolors by just combining screenshots.
I feel dirty, but I had fun with it lol
But that’s what I use traced bases for, testing new character’s color palettes before I start to draw them. These lil guys look pretty good!
Heads up, We’ve got art piracy going on, on deviantART. This design, according to Google reverse search was designed by someone named eman. Hotstrend is taking art off Google and bootlegging them without any annotations to the original artist.
It’s only too risky because you traced someone’s fan art and refused to acknowledge and even apologize to the original artist. The more you play the victim the more it looks like you really WANT drama.
What’s worse is they’re tracing and passing it off as their originul the fan art donut steel. I’m all for using tracing to learn to draw, but it becomes a nuisance if people use it to get free asspats by claiming it as their original works like this twat swazzle.
According to multiple sources this is concept art of Mheetu and Bhati, Mheetu is a lot darker than Simba, so I could see where Nala’s father would be darker than Simba and Kion.
In all of Mheetu’s concept art he is this colour, so I’m assuming he is a dark pelted cub.
Ironically, If you google “Nala Bhati concept art” this shows up. I’m fairly sure this is Nala, not Mheetu. I think the only known Mheetu concept art is the following
But even then the butt known as wereberus claimed it’s mheetu so I can’t take what he calls Mheetu seriously. He’s the same asshole that made it so that the entire early sketches of Simba as a cub is Mheetu. Even when the Diamond Edition released of the same pic with SIMBA on it, he denounced it as if it hurt his ego.
