As you can see, Ci345 scratched out Kamirah’s watermark. 

Ci345 has disrespectfully recolored other people’s art and even scratched out the watermarks. They’ve stolen from Kaisertiger and Kamirah and refused credit, claiming the hard work put into making the image. There’s a third victim but I, unfortunately, dunno who’s art that belongs to. 

The impetuousness of this one was Karen level toxic. They used having a bad day at work as an excuse to throw a tantrum after having been told you can’t redraw/copy fan art and that you must ask first and then credit your sources. They did neither, and proceeded to throw mud at me because how dare I get to recolor when they can’t “reference” art they find on Google(instead of direct linking to the deviation, they direct linked to the thumbnail making sure that it didn’t link to the deviation to prove their point). And proceeded to attack others coming in to defend the artists, explaining the same thing. They go on crying about how it’s not a crime to use references. In their case, they redrew, they didn’t ‘reference’ shit. There’s a difference between using references and redrawing your source pose for pose. Drawing Nala with her rump facing the audience and calling it ‘vent art’ because they ‘had a bad day’ just shows how entitled and selfish this person is over someone else’s fanart. 

This has the same energy as those idiots who rob stores and gloat about it on Facebook. 

This is why I repetitiously look into the #Simba tag every day. Because way back then, you would find at most 10 traces, copies, or ‘redraws’ of Kamirah’s Simba pic, this one in particular. Now because of that behavior, Kamirah has removed this pic from her deviantART. This is why I’m anti-tracing/recoloring/copying. It kills the drive for artists. 

Websites like Bonanza.com that make bootlegging art theft easier make me hate humanity more. Today’s black market get rich quick schemes come easier and easier with the internet. 

Discovered this obvious trace while lurking in the lion king tag on dA. For fucks sake, it’s like people don’t even try these days to cover up that they traced someone else’s work, in this case being Kamirah. 

More so copied then traced(Tracing implies that they drew over the lines), but definitely replicated without permission. 

This gentlemen thought this pic was official Disney art. I don’t think he gets out much.
