Hey, it’s Sukala A.P. again! Accidently deleted my other account. I’d like if you could take a lot at my recent storyboard. It’s 36 minutes long, but the time taken and work is totally worth it!
I’m prouder of it than the other two.
I’m making a lion empire and wanted to have the royals really distinguished. I scribbled a quick idea of what I’m thinking of?
They wear wigs (male/female) to hide their face/mostly royal exclusive features in case they’re in danger and need to blend in and have clay painted on them to show they don’t need to move to not crack the clay.
I just wanted your opinion and maybe other stuff I could add?
That’s actually an interesting idea! You might also do a bit of research and draw inspiration from history also :)
Ever since I was a kid i didn’t think the hyenas looked very “hyena-ish”. They had that weird hunchback look, super skinny legs and that kinda odd “duck beak” maw. There’s nothing wrong with it per se but I wanted a more accurate look but something still recognizably tlk and wanted any opinions on this rough sketch.
I agree with you. They did look like broke-back dogs to me. Hyenas, however do tend to have sloped backs
But their shoulders aren’t anywhere near as pronounced as the hyenas’ in TLK. And their maws are almost conical tapering off into a small muzzle at the end.
Your hyena character there looks more hyena than the TLK ones. Although I would toy with sloping his back just a smidge.
It’s sad when that one person basically Traced their entry (No worries, She didn’t accept it) When I basically worked hard on my entry.
And you did a great job too! Done with a mouse I wonder? I know mouse drawing is difficult.
What’s really sad about this is that they’re in denial that they trace. I had them kicked out of a couple groups on dA I admin for because I provided proof they trace.
Wanted to show my updated Mheetu, I got a little inspired from others showing theirs, and it gave me a little something to focus on. I haven’t drawn mine in about a year, and I’ve never been satisfied with his colors until now. He was always meant to be this stressed out fellow who tries so hard to be the responsible eldest of a herd of half siblings. Still a Sarafina and Scar baby.

This Lisa bullshit’s put me in a foul mood, though I’ve been wanting to show this off since I began doodling him…a week or so ago. Since we were mentioning Mheetu’s a bit back, I felt like this was a good time. Plus also to get out some negativity. Some at least.
I have shown him before, my Mheetu though he’s changed a bit look wise. I’m fiddling with his colours, he’ll probably get a tiiiny bit darker.
Something I would like though is opinions on his eye colours. I tried bright but bright seemed…off…on him. I want dark colours. Does the dark blue work well? Or should I go for another colour? Or perhaps make it a bit lighter? c:
Don’t think I’ve seen a melanistic Mheetu before. Interesting idea! You might lighten up the dark grays a bit, he seems almost too dark.
In my story, Zira (as always) tries to impress Scar, whom humors her with one cub, leading her on to believe that Mheetu will be the heir. This is before Rhoadie’s time, mind you, when Scar first meets Zira… So when Rho is born and is dubbed heir, it drives Zira deeper into hating the Princess… And the sole reason behind the abuse. Sry for the dark backstory, but I’m happy with everything about this! What do you guys think?

I was wondering if I could get some feedback on my Uru/help deciding which one I should use or what elements to mix together to get a better look.
Hmm, I like the darker one on the right vs the one on the left. Instead of obvious teeth marks, why not have missing patches of fur like between his shoulders?
So I’m jumping on the TLK comic band wagon and as a result trying to learn to draw nicer backgrounds since I struggle a bunch with them. I’m working on a script so a legit comic page won’t be coming for a long while yet. Until then it’s gonna give me time to learn. I’ll link the tutorials I used too:

So far I’m calling the story “For Every Season” bc of the whole “Everything has its time/spot light” thing since it’s about the cubs of the Kiara/Kovu generation ~
Anyway long story short I hope the background art looks good ~ the cubs are Chenzira, Ikki and Teleza ~ [LtoR]
