Kept her! I went a bit overboard with her design. I’ll remove some markings soon but for now, here she is xD No name yet, though I’m considering a fire based name. I’ll do digging.
(Also is your DA mucked up? I know it sounds weird but mine is and I don’t know if it’s DA or my laptop, as at the time it was trying to download windows 10 and I stopped it. Currently I can’t click on certain things, edit, check my messages, submit a picture or journal, ect.)
I’d get rid of some of those specks on her face, maybe put some on her arms for effect and also tail.
Also, no dA seems to be working fine for me. It may have been acting up this morning but I was out running errands so I wouldn’t know.
I tried. I tried indeed. I noticed that the pretty white lioness is not only a tinge of yellow (Hense I didn’t really change her) but she had veeeery hard to see stars under the moon marking. I kinda found it unique so I kept it c:
I like the update actually! You did great!
I had to draw Anonymous’ little Neema. She was just too cute not to! Her colors also remind me of Malka.
I have to admit that I was a Baser Baby too when I was about 13 years old..Today I use them (from time to time) for RPG Character’s (Cause I’m sick of drawing characters for rpg’s which maybe die within a few weeks..) But if I use them I upload them to my freakin Scraps/Stash so no one who looks for ART don’t have to look at them.
‘Sadly’ my old PC died a while ago and with him all the base fails of my past..So I just left these Girl here, which I draw at work today.
I’m still really bad at drawing Lion’s but..at least I draw them myself~I guess I’m gonna call her Neema.
I would love to hear your opinion =3
Sorry for my bad english..
This is very cute and please, don’t apologize for your english, you’re perfectly fine dear! I paint traced base myself. I use them for coloring experiments. What I do is I find bases with the most obnoxious r00lz and paint them without credit to the person who traced them. Just Disney since it’s Disney’s line art they traced and calling their originul linez donut stealz. But your character here is adorables! So is your art
This is my “Mheetu” He’s a Scar/Sarabi cub, born shortly after Simba’s return. He doesn’t live for long though, he dies 6 weeks after he’s born :c Poor baby.
That’s always the sad part of anyone’s headcanons. But it’s the law of the jungle.
Post 143746959284 made me remember this lil study I did for Kiara, to try and pick some good colours for her.
Film version (From screenshot)
TLK 2 Blend
TLK Blend
My version. My version settled more on the tired set, but I made them greyer to try and make Kiara look a bit like Sarabi, since I can imagine her looking as such.
I think the 3rd is my favourite, hense why I favoured those colours more. What’s yours?
Definitely the third version is my favorite. It pops. It draws your attention to it right away. That’s why cartoonists try to make their cartoons bright. To catch their audience’s attention.
Not submitting bad art this time, but asking for an opinion
So I jokily decided to make Kopa Kion’s son in my fanon, but now I’m stuck with color scheme.
1) is the book color scheme (or as close I could get) 2) Kion + Zuri 3) Kion + Tiifu 4) Kion + Vitani 5) Kion + Random lioness 1 6) Kion + Random lioness 2
So for context of the Kion in my fanon is that Kion is married to his job and doesn’t really have interest in a romantic relationship (though he does love kids and adopted five cubs) Though I don’t a reasoning for Kion having a biological son as of now (it just seemed funny to have Kopa being Kion’s son)
Hmm, well my eyes lean towards the last color palette there. Number six. It just seems to be aesthetically pleasing. And Kopa being Kion’s biological son sounds like a fun idea.
This is my idea of what Mheetu would look like if he was Sarabi X Mufasa, I think I failed on the eyes. I also made a Sarafina X Scar one.
I think Sarabi needs a cub with her colors
Almost like mine, only mine’s darker with a dark brown mane. Nice c:
Here is the Scar X Sarafina Mheetu, I gave him a Kion like hair tuft because what if that comes from Nala’s side of the family?
So that would make Mheetu Nala’s half brother? Since we’ve got a canon look at her father? Which isn’t Mufasa.
I know the resolution on this must be horrid. I was the anon who was speaking about submitting a much overhauled character.
Lets start with *shivers* the one on the left. I can barely decipher my own confused wording on my very early deviantart but what I glean was her name was ‘Bethula’, meaning something in some language I’m sure. Her ‘backstory’ was that she was one of the lionesses that were in the litter for betrothal, she was Scar’s, Zira got jealous and burned the hell out of her. Eugh. I shudder to think about it, but all in the learning process I suppose.
Now for the one on the right, I kept the idea centered around fire. She lives in a dry area in the path of a ton of wildfires with tons of scorched earth and trees, etc. She grew up around it, and doesn’t really fear fire nearly as much as lions who live in more lush parts of Africa. Because of the area, not much game was there for hunt, so she resorted to trickery… granted it doesn’t always work. Her main trick its cornering others into doing her hunting for her after brush fires by fooling around with the embers (Her front feet are pretty damaged because of this, so she isn’t a very good fighter or runner.) and threatening to reignite the fires as well as the other animals. She never actually does it, and some of the bigger animals figure it out (IE, she almost got her teeth kicked in several time by loners.).
She also doesn’t have a name, which I’m trying to figure out. Some I think could maybe work with some tweaking:
Shujaa wa Moto (Warrior of Fire, I think)
Masizi (Soot)
Jivu (Ash)
If you have any input, I’d greatly appreciate it!
I definitely like how you approached recreating your character. And I think Masizi would suit her just fine.
