I need some help. I decided to give my Kiara x Kovu cub a little redesign to make him look less like a clone of his parents. While I do like his design I feel like I went a little overboard with it.

The pale colors are supposed to come from Nala and he has Kion’s ear thingies. But a part of me feels like he doesn’t like Kovu or Kiara.

What’s your opinion?

I kinda like it. The colors are a teensy bright compared to Kovu’s dark colors. I would maybe darken them a hue or two so that some of Kovu comes through. And maybe shorten the mane depending on age. Otherwise he’s pretty cool! 

I need an opinion. I have these two Kopa designs, though the first one is a really old picture I’m having trouble deciding which I prefer. I love the idea of Kovu and Kiara being his parents. Which of the two do you feel is better?

Hmm.. I would mix some light color into the one on the right. Right now he looks like a Kovu clone almost. He needs some of his mother’s colors mixed into him. Otherwise looks great!

But any who, this is my version of Kopa. He’s the son of Kovu and Kiara.  

I like his coloring! He definitely looks like he’s related. 

I’m in need of advice. I really like this design I made here, but I’m not sure if his color palette is too natural with his mane color. What’s your opinion?

He kinda reminds me of Jasper from Steven Universe with the coloration. I like it. But I would darken the eye patches a little tho. That way his face pops. 

That whole post I submitted with the stolen Naanda made me wanna submit my art of my two versions of Naanda, so here they are!

Left version is my main version of Naanda, who is Sarabi’s older sister (she was like older cub/teen when Sarabi was born), and mother of Tojo and Tama. (Mostly because they looked a bit like Simba clones, and the colors I came up with for them fit Naanda to a T.)

Right version is my RP version of Naanda, who I play on Disney World of War. She’s been through A LOT of shit since some of her backstory was pre-written (going through hell as a cub, losing her mate, then her daughter, Zira who is on the enemy side of the war, etc), and I love her. XD

We never really got confirmation on what Naanda and her sisters looked like so it’s free to interpret. Stealing is just immature as all hell and just shows someone doesn’t have the brain capacity to come up with their own ideas. Your designs are very nice!

No problems that I can see. I love their designs and colors. 

Just one more thing about the

The left one is the first Sketch of Neema, made a few weeks ago.

The right one the first Sketch for an upcoming RP character named Fayola.

Sure, the right one is still far from perfect but it already looked so much better then the other one.

And it took me alot of failed attempts until I was happy with it but I just kept trying and thats work for EVERYONE.People should finally get their lazy asses up.

And they’re still so cute! Keep drawing and soon you’ll find yourself getting better and better! 

Whenever someone on dA says that they can’t draw and they have to use bases/trace someone else’s work to draw, I’m going to show them this image that I made featuring my shit drawing from 2012 and how I draw now. 

Putting the time and effort into drawing will help you become better, even if it takes a few years. Don’t rely on bases or tracing.

Found a deviant last night who traced HyrdaCarina and said they did so because they couldn’t draw. Why don’t people just… try?

This is a perfect example of how one’s art can develop over time if you just put some effort into it to pick up a pencil. It doesn’t take much muscle power to control a pencil for fuck’s sake. And congrats on the mass improvement! 

These are okay-ish unnatural coloured lioness cubs, lemon yellow and blue to be exact.

The blue one is good actually. I would add some more red or more brown to the yellow cub though. Pure yellow just hurts the eyes. 

after seeing that original submission I thought to myself “I want to see how I can mix Mufasa and Scar” Aside from the fact that this ship never will or should happen, Mixing these radically deffirent designs is quite fun

They claimed to have given it the Roar mark because birthmark. Bitch please, birthmarks are blobs, they don’t make clear markings like that! Also, yours is better and more down to earth compared to that mutant.
