A while back I drew a Scar cub and I’ve always been low key worried he was too much Scar in appearance, maybe in personality too although I kind of want that. His personality is snarky and intelligent but I wanted him more emotional as in will apologize for saying anything mean/untrue or I don’t want to hurt anyone so I’ll just let you do whatever so I don’t have to fight. Also I was debating the scar under his eye, but I want to keep it because he got it from falling on a stick(not that he’d admit that). It just kind of serves the purpose of reminding him that he’s not his father cause he’s too “innocent and weak willed”.
Well he certainly DOES look like a Scar clone. Perhaps tweak his colors a tiny bit. But keep them dark. Maybe give him more of his mother’s color but make it darker like his father?
Hi there! Mind critquing my Lion King fan character? Someone said she looked a lot like Nuka - I don’t see it, but I’m worried more than the one person do! I can see that her colors are very similar to Nuka’s Outlands/sunset color palette. (When creating her I actually based her more off of the background Outlanders dubbed Spotty and Dotty, and gave her a pinky-red color simply because I liked it!)
I don’t see it either. Nuka is more grey and more mangey. This one is a warm brown and well groomed. And very cute. Don’t change it.
So, continuing my idea with evil Kiara x Kovu kid, who’s not really evil, just… extremely delusional. He forces everyone (that’s weaker) to submit to him with strength rather than manipulation, as real Scar used to do. I’m still working on a reason for this, I’m leaning towards some bitter outlander who didn’t exactly like the idea of joining Simba talking the gullible kid into it. I’m also not sure what name to give him, either Amani or Nukta, depending if it’ll be a better idea to make him the only child or give him some siblings. And this is his prototype design, I like his pelt, because it’s a mix of his parents (from TLK2, mind you, not TLG) that gave this fitting orangey colour. He also has Zira stripe that shows on his mane and his back, as well as those inner ear tufts. I’m also considering giving him heterochromia and the scratched out eye would have been brown or something… And he scratched it out, because it ruined his Scar image, as well to give himself that infamous eye wound.
Honestly, I didn’t stress over this idea that much. It just suddenly came to me and it keeps on adding more and more to it, even when I’m not thinking about it.
This is a character I made recently for my comic. I was wondering if the colouring is alright and if the partial heterochromatic eyes work.
I never even noticed he had heterochromia until you mentioned it. I think his eye colors are a great color tone against his dark pelt and blend in well with each other.

His Name is Themba and he’s a cheeky, curious little guy.

Please meet the sons of Scar; Jafari, Mheetu and Jalani!
Jafari; ORIGINAL STORY; The son of Scar and Sarabi. He was born a year after the fall of Mufasa. Even though he was mates with Sarafina, Sarabi was queen still so they had cubs. By this point Scar wasn’t all that bad of a king. In my world it was the guilt and anger from loosing Mufasa that drove Scar to be such q terrible King. But yeah!
NEW STORY: The son of Scar and Sarabi, brother to Mheetu and half brother to Simba and Jalani. Him and his brother were born about a year after Scar took over and was the first born, though not Scar’s heir. When Rafiki wanted to present him, Scar choose norm to have him as his heir despite Jafari being the first born. Jafari didn’t be allow this to bring him down and tried to make the best of it.
Mheetu: As stated before, Mheetu is the son of Scar and Sarabi. He is the chosen heir of Scar. Mheetu, at first, is very stuck up and loves to throw his power in other’s faces, especially Jalani. It’s not until he meets Zira’s brother, Mosi does he begin to question his father’s words. He falls in love with Mosi and the three sons of Scar escape together.
Jalani; The bastard son of Sarafina and Scar. He was born before Nala and Simba, and does not call Scar his father. He was conceived because of Sarafina’s need to be loved. She and Scar had a smal fling and before they found out Sarafina was pregnant she decided to leave the pridelands with one of Sarabi’s sisters. In that pride she gave birth to Jalani. It wasn’t obvious whose cub he was. When Sarafina came back with Jalani and a baby Nala, Scar turned his nose in the air and declared that Jalani was not his son.
They’re very adorable. Does Jafari have a meaning in Swahili?
Submitting another thing, because I can. From left to right are Mito and Mlima, my version of Mufasa and Scar’s mom in TLG and their uncle of the previous Lion Guard before Scar. I had to reference a lot of Scar and Mufasa for these two, and some pose refs as well (Sarabi for Mlima, and Scar for Mito)
This scene is supposed to be just after all the hyenas were exiled from the Pridelands because one clan had killed their father, and Mlima blamed them all and exiled them out of her grief. Mito wasn’t happy about that. XD You can read the small story I wrote about it here.
