First row, definitely the first one. The colors are brighter and darker. 

Second row, second version. Might even consider using the girl hyenas as ideas on how to draw ‘hair’ on her. 

This is a family tree I made for the Sukalaverse TLK. (Yes, this is SukalaAP, here.) Aaaaand I used a base. :T

I dunno what to think? Usually when it comes to TLK family trees I’m more concerned people didn’t thumbnail steal fan art. I do like the next gen designs tho! And Bald Malka! PFFFT 

This is the design. She’s a cave hyena and supposed to be my main online persona. My worry is her spots. Are they too much?

I know she doesn’t really fit TLK, but I’m hoping to get commissions of her sometime but worry if her design is too complicated. 

She’s very pretty as a stand alone right now. But for sun on her rump, try simplifying it for the artists you want to commission. Maybe break it down to simplicity similar to her ankle markings on her hind feet? 

I tried drawing a head shot of my oc. I don’t really like how it turned out. Got any tips?

Looks great! I say keep drawing and keep practicing. Never stop. If you’re curious about tips. Tracing official screenshots and clipart doesn’t hurt. Just don’t claim the results as yours and use the results as future references. Keep up the awesome work!

Okay, so it’s very unlike me to use bases, but I wanted to get a sense of character/personality early on for these cubs.

I’ve had the design of the right cub in storage for about a year, but I’ve been dying to use her for ages now. I wanted to give the left cub sorta a pinky look instead of just flat out blonde, gray, and/white.

Do you think they can pass as realistic white lions?

I think they certainly can. You did a wise thing not choosing solid #FFFFF and choosing an eggshell cream. Worst case scenario color pick colors form white lion photos. Also I use bases to test color palettes for new characters so don’t hate on yourself for using them like this. 

I need some help. Lately I’ve been thinking and came to conclusion that my Kiara X Kovu kid is so desaturated compared to the official characters (Since he was based on their TLK 2 pallets). So I decided to mess around with filters and came to the redesign, but i’m a little on edge about it.

Hmm. I like the color of the one on the end. Maybe make him a teensy bit brighter like number 2 but less saturated than.

This is Umeme, meaning “Lightning”. She’s a lone black-backed jackal who works as an assistant to Rafiki. She can’t hunt well due to health problems, so she does other jobs to get her food. She’s also an oracle who can predict weather patterns and if they season will be unusual.

Hey I don’t know if you remember me, I sent my version of Scar’s cub. I changed him I think drastically to reflect his mother’s darker, slightly more muted colours and (subtle) two tone eyes and dark brown mane. Now he looks like Kovu, granted they are related……..

I do remember you actually. I like the colors on the right. Definitely. He doesn’t look so much like a clone of Scar now. 

Got bored and decided to open MMD (because I can’t draw for shit) to see if I could try my hand at making a melanistic lion. I decided to use a dark blue instead of flat out black and gave him a navy-ish color. And blue eyes because I’m a sucker for blue eyes honestly. Haha I think I could have gone lighter on the color for more realism~ I used this Kovu model as a base. The modeler allows edits of their models as long as credit is given.

I actually like the colors on him. Is MMD easy to use? I’ve been contemplating modeling my HTTYD OCs for MMD use. 

I also fail to see how anyone demands credit on a ripped Kingdom Hearts model. It’s back to demanding credit for the traced bases all over again.
