This person’s been editing and reposting fan art and doesn’t seem to be listening to people and artists telling them to stop and remove their works. Fair warning, they’ve also posted NSFW art as well.
If anyone recognizes any art, please let that artist know so they can report it.
There’s been a lot of complaints about the release of the new CG animated Lion King Prequel. And while I share the same complaints of many, I have seen that many many others have gotten confused between what’s fan lore and what’s canon to the original 94 film.
Ahadi, Uru, and Taka are names from the chapter book series the fandom affectionately calls TLK6NA(It’s full name: The Lion King Six New Adventures). TLK6NA was published with permission and was a collaboration between authors. Mohatu is a name from a picture book Titled The Brightest Star, published in autumn of 94. Unfortunately, I do not have any confirmation whether Brightest Star was published with permission or was made by Disney studios. But it is considered far more canon than 6NA on account of lack of conflict between the films.
None of these names or characters have interacted canonically. What you might think is canon might actually be fan lore, established by popular big name fan artists and their fan comics.
I’m also seeing people are still believing the controversial theory that Disney stole the story of a lion being king and would kindly like to point y’all to the YourMovieSucks breakdown video. It’s a great analysis that finally puts this argument to bed
That fucking name is already spreading throughout the fandom like a virus. They could’ve chosen a better birth name for Scar than Taka. But noooooo.
So they revealed the first look at the new prequel to The Lion King 2019 and it’s as everyone feared. The prequel completely retcons the theme of the original film by making Mufasa the first king. That means no Kings of the Past story to tell Simba.
It basically tells the story of Mufasa, an orphaned cub, washed away in a flood (Doesn’t that sound familiar?). No idea how Scar comes into all of this or whether they’re blood relatives at this point. But they’re calling Scar, Taka, by birth name. Absolute cringe.
They’re basically painting a dog turd and passing it off as something new. It’s the same animation technique as the first, meaning the dead eyed emotionless zombie taxidermies return.
Like most of the fandom, I’m not gonna consider this canon to the og film. They can call it that all they want, but it’ll never be the true Lion King franchise.
If you want to wow us, Disney, stop shitting out “Live-Action” films. You’re on life support and these films aren’t gonna be your savior.
Friendly reminder that Vatre has resurfaced. If you don’t know or remember who they are, here’s a full document about the situation
Vatre basically likes to use her age as a shield in order to get away with bullying content creators in the fandom. She has resurfaced as vexxon-n on deviantART and started harassing members once more, claiming plagiarism against well established artists before deactivating. They’ve resurfaced under a new suspect account, nok0olin. This person is a serial harasser and abuser. If they try to contact you or claim you stole from them, block and report.
Looks like Twitter brainrot.
Ya know, the usual, “I was told no, I can’t have the cookie, so now I’m throwing a hissy fit!”
For the record, I’ve tried telling him where he can get screenshots that he can edit. But he’d rather block then take advice (yes this is the same guy).
This is a friendly reminder that if you don’t want your art edited, to check and make sure it’s not on picsart.com. Picsart.com is a site where they allow you to take any photo online, cut out the images and turn them into stickers for quick edits. I’ve seen so much art theft over there from both tc-96 and Whitekimya. There may be many more.
That’s a new way of saying you traced.
They really wanna die on this hill. They’ve been told several times that Tana-jo drew the Scar they used. We understand they used Picsart. They were repeatedly told that it was someone else’s art that another person stole and turned into a sticker on Picsart. Even directly linked them to the original source with the time stamp it was posted. They repeatedly refused to acknowledge our information and requests to change Scar. Now they’re behaving like a child being told “No, you can’t have that cookie.”
If anyone recognizes the artist of the cub in the top middle, that’d be very helpful!
As you can see, Ci345 scratched out Kamirah’s watermark.
