A good example of referencing the wrong way. Notice how they nearly traced the original by TamberElla. 

And that’s how you copy folks! 

If you’re going to reference, use it for hard areas like noses or how to get those pesky toes just right. Don’t just flat ass copy it line for line. That’s not how referencing works. 

After this overlay I think it’s pretty obvious he starts off tracing, but then he puts his own effects into it to make new characters. 

Still, that’s not how you fan art. Everything in this person’s gallery is either copied or directly traced and added onto from screenshots from the three films. It’s the CapricornFox effect. 

I love how he says modeled when he’s an almost exact copy. Just another excuse to say copied if you ask me.

A rare redraw from one of Lauralyloo’s originals. 

It’s quite obvious they copied off a Tom Bancroft original just by looking at the ears. The large round ears are Tom Bancroft’s “finger"print in his art when he draws lions.

This one’s popular to trace but not AS popular as that Simba drawing from Kamirah.
