Fuck yea terrible Lion King fandom

It’s always fucking hilarious to me when both christians and catholics preach about their bible, posting verses etc etc, only to fail their 8th commandment (Thou shall not steal) by posting someone else’s fanart and claim it as their own work. Baby’s first projection amirite?

laughable-lion-king-art:

That doesn’t look like freehanded referencing to me. Maybe the cub in the middle of the cub pile is more referenced than the others. But Sereea completely took what I said out of context. I had meant that it looked like a base someone else made off of Nala concept art. And Sereea is a baser by trade. And yet the simplest, please credit base, sent them into tantrum mode.

Even if it’s a traced base, it’s fandom curtesy to credit the bases you used.

Breaking news, “artist” claims not to be a child while acting like a child.

Sereea’s in hot water, again. This time for being caught tracing MalisTLK, and they’re throwing a temper tantrum on their(Sereea’s) profile page.

A lot of red flags for someone who doesn’t practice what they preach.

The drawing she claims was posted back in 2020. That was almost five years ago, and is now behind a paywall. All of her suspicious arts are now behind paywall, unironically. It’s funny that she tells others to think for themselves, when she should know better than to take stuff from others and recolor it. Such aggressive peoples!

Checks notes No, she never credits her bases unless it’s pointed out to her, and she aggressively calls you blind for it, after which she quickly goes back to edit the deviation to be right all along. She thinks because it’s on The Googles™, it’s fair use. I would have never politely commented on one of her pages to credit a base had she credited a fanart turned base with permission to begin with.

Instagram art thief who’s stolen from prominent artists like Musicalmutt2, Marlynxtlk, and Mistrel-fox. They seem to think that because they found it on The Googles, it’s fair use and credits Google as the source.

They’ve been approached before by Jessirenee, but claimed they used a screenshot (they didn’t), and then proceeded to block them.

This is why I hate the TLK fandom on instagram. It’s 90% recolor culture and everyone throws temper tantrums when told “No, you can’t use this.” I would truly love to assume that it’s because they’re kids, but unfortunately, a lot of them are adults in their early 20s.

Update on this situation. This person has a history of stealing fanart and questionably unacceptable behavior. As if her pregnancy fetish wasn’t enough of a red flag, she’s said to have had NSFW accounts (Not one to judge on NSFW taste but I’m willing to bet the farm that she traced and recolored off other NSFW artists), and has made minors uncomfortable by insinuating being sexually attracted to their OC.

On the video, she claims she doesn’t need to pay for lineart if everyone else traces it and uses it for free

Art thief clearly doesn’t care that he’s stealing artwork for his oh-so originul pic, he won’t listen to those who tell him otherwise. So far, only Dyb has been found as one of the artists. No idea who drew Zira or Simba and Nala in the back.

“Approved by Disney!!!!!!!!”

I’m pretty sure Disney, in fact, did not approve of this art theft slide show. It’s also monetized so he’s also making money off fan art, Jesus wept.

“Don’t copy my copied urt!”

“I tooked inspirashunz from Pinterest TLK URT!”

“But ghaiz, it’s totally not tracing if I loosely trace over someone else’s art for my inspirashunz!”

“I deleted this on impulse because I got called out! Donut steal my copied urt!”
