Is it just the country of Malaysia that has this obsession with big blow out parties for spoilt groin goblins????
I should also mention that on officially licensed Disney stickers they have this trademark on the sheets:
©Disney Enterprises, INC
They also occasionally have ©Disney wrapped around sticker borders.
Look for these when you go to buy Disney products. If they don’t have these. Don’t buy them. Pass them up. And if possible, pass the information on to customers if you can’t get the manager to remove the products from shelves. Also be sure to get information on the store so you can pass it on to the artist the pirated art was used so they can take the situation head on.
How to tell Official Disney cases from stolen fan art.
Simple.
One on the left was cropped to get rid of Oribi’s watermark in the bottom left corner to sell on the black market for a fast buck.
The one on the right has Disney’s mark and it’s trademarked. You can find this information on the back of the package.
The way I view it, if you buy these black market cases like the one on the left, you’re supporting art piracy(theft) and you’re a horrible human being because you’re giving money to the bad guys instead of the artist. Furthering the starving artist stereotype.
But this piracy doesn’t stop at just phone cases. People pirate art off Google for coloring book pages, stickers in Bodegas and markets, and even bootleg blankets, towels, and DVD cases. If it’s not trademarked by Disney;
Don’t buy it!
So if you remember that minimalistic vector Lion King poster that got a DD, it was reposted just today by someone with clashing styles, or at the very least, really terribly vectored photos and screenshots and they’ve got the balls to say they’re selling Ameba2k’s minimalist poster prints. Can’t wait to see what their argument is after I called them out on their art piracy. They’ve been here for 3 years while Ameba2k has been here 11 years.
