Stolen and recolored fan art.
Not sure who the first one belongs to but the second one is Hydracarina/Nadra’s art.
A good example of referencing the wrong way. Notice how they nearly traced the original by TamberElla.
It’s not a screenshot edit… lines are too thin. It looks like this person raped fan art for a bad edit. They didn’t even bother editing the flower stem around Simba’s teeth. How many fucking times do you need to watermark something you stole?
Do any of you guys recognize this fan art?
It turns out this is actually screenshots used, from TLK ½. They just photoshopped the rose over Simba’s teeth where he’s pulled the thorn out of Nala’s paw. It’s amazing how their screenshots fooled even me!

Update on the situation: I have been bawwlocked by this “artist” just because I said they can’t use art unless they ask permission.
No means no!
Being a tumblr RPer myself, a moderate RPer of three blogs, I find it disrespectful to the artist to use artwork without permission if there isn’t a direct link back to the original. I recently stumbled upon a Scar RP blog that stole artwork from many artists for their little blog’s background and other items. Sure they linked back to fan art they posted.. but they didn’t give credit anywhere for the stolen art on their blog. If an artist says not to use their art in any way shape or form without proper permission, don’t use it! It’s very simple. There are thousands of HD quality screenshots online, it’s not hard to find some.
Even if you just recolored someone’s fan character’s eye color and “using it as a reference”, you’re still stealing art by posting it on deviantART, let alone stealing fan characters. If someone took my characters entire design and recolored my character’s eyes as slate grey instead of her golden orange, I’d be highly pissed.
