Literally accidentally watched them because I've never blocked someone before I don't know how and I feel like a noob.

What you do is you go into settings under your username drop down menu. Go to General and enter their username to the list of blocked.
They should really make it easier for us to block people without waiting for them to comment on anything like here on Tumblr. This happy horse shit of doing it manually takes almost an eternity. It’s inconvenient especially if the person you’re trying to block is spamming your profile with hate.
That butt person favorited a few of my character sheets...I'm worried...

Block them. I keep imploring you people to. Otherwise they will spam you with cartoon butts on your birthday.
Whoa. Wasn't aware. I thought it was because it's an art site and distractive? I did a computer technician course though and they only blacklisted after a guy in my class was looking at anime,he didn't even had an account. Was the blacklisting the reason or side effect of the pornplosion in there?

Anonymous
Beats me. Maybe it was due to distractive reasons. I just remember students talking about this way back when.
Haha no worries, I didn't explained clearly either xD still is a very stupid and ridiculous way do verify age :l they downgraded and are porn site level, next thing on DA all you have to do view stuff is just clicking a button

Anonymous
They’ve been porn site level since 2009 when schools blacklisted their site.
About the age verification thing... If something is tagged as mature content, all you have to do (without being logged in) is type a random age. You can lie all you want. After that, all the mature pictures (genitals, sexual content, fetishes) show automatically. I recall you HAD to make an account to view this kind of content (would be blocked if underage), now all you do is type a fake age.

Oh okay. You had me confused there for a moment. I never log out of my dA so I didn’t know >3>
i really hope kids who honestly use traced artwork bases on accident (as in they didn't know it was wrong/traced) don't get disheartened and totally turned off to TLK. everyone just gets so aggressive, which i get to an extent, but some folks make it out to be a witch hunt and it's very.... yikes.

It’s one thing if they used it by mistake. Where in if it truly was a mistake myself, and hopefully others will try to correct them and use something more proper from a good resource.
It’s when they refuse to acknowledge their mistake and proceed to lie that they didn’t make any mistakes or called it one mistake and continue to belligerently cry about how we’re being the big bad wolves and continue to steal artwork is when shit should hit the fan.
Will keep that in mind. Maybe in the future :) still questioning who was the fucknut that thought it was a good idea to put such age verification holy shit.

Anonymous
Not sure what you mean by age verification.
Fair enough :3 still wouldn't help if you browse the newer stuff instead of searching :') and the age verification on DA is a joke now wtf you were required to have an account but now... It's literally like on porn sites. Seriously questioning if I make an account or what >.> I'm afraid of what I may find

There’s a lot of objectifying women in photographs on the “New in the last 8 hour” as well as gross fetish shit. But it’s still a fairly good website if you try to ignore the gross out shit.
Oh. Still like that. On inkbunny, there's a feature you put words on a blacklist and it is automatically banned from you to view automatically. Let's say, you put "timon" on this blacklist, you won't see it in the search nor when browsing randomly on the site, so there's no risk of accidentally stumbling with anything blacklisted. They are also very strict with the tagging. Thought DA would do something similar.

No. If you wanna blacklist something you put “-” before the word. Same for Google and just about every other website with a search engine out there. Including Youtube. It’s come in handy.
Speaking of that, deviantart has a blacklist thing with tags like inkbunny? Inkbunny is a shithole but the tag blacklist makes it transform in another site (when I used that a long ago at least), dunno about DA, been awhile and the whole site is weird holy shit

Are we talking about the - before search words?
