Someone who is working on/off in the comic/media industry - The only way Rho could legally copyright her lions is if A) She has permission from Disneys different departments for her fan characters (Fat chance of that) or B) If Rho lions were their own 100% original thing. They are not she draws them in the TLK style in the TLK universe. You have virtually 0 copyright over fan characters (FC's) but you can have full copyright over Original Creations (OCs)

Question! Did Cynder delete her Rho clone, "Yatana"? I just peeked at her gallery (I don't have a DA account so I don't know if she made it to only users can see certain pics) and I don't see the Yatana pictures anymore. Can anyone confirm that she deleted the character? She still has a pic of it on her FA but it's just the one where she claims she "won"

I enjoyed that. But yeah, way too much like Bambi. I also noticed they recycled the Bambi on ice scene where his back legs get crossed. Also, Joma, the love interest, reminds me of HydraCarina’s Lubaya. Maybe it’s the swirls.
Everyone has different thoughts on the orgins of characters like Scar and how he became who he is, it's part of the fun. Most people like to have a reason for a character being evil and so being bullied is a common thread, and one i enjoy but honestly as long as people don't shove ideas down other people's throats what's the issue? You don't like bullied Scar which is fine right? It's all fiction and ideas

This discussion gave me an idea for a writing prompt- A story where Mufasa is the bully and Scar the victim, and a story where Scar is childish and jealous of Mufasa, who's an okay guy- the twist is that it's the same story from different perspectives.

Can, can she really copyright her lion? I know the owner of sushi dogs copyrighted their species with official papers because they’re unique enough. But she actually managed to do this? Maybe this will be enough force for the staff to get that awful Bootleg rho off the internet.
I think the trope can make some sense, especially because Mufasa's own majordomo is afraid of him- it could be interpreted that Mufasa isn't the nicest guy, which is a nicer alternative to Scar being "born evil" I find

Eh. I always interpreted that fear from Zazu as Mufasa being a big ol’ papa bear type character. Gentle when things are peaceful but things get scary when shit hits the fan. But ya know? To each their own.
Am I the only one who hates the theory of Mufasa being a bully and a jerk to Scar when they were cubs and that is why Scar hates Mufasa and became evil?
