Very true. Crossover action and adventure is better than crossover shippings, that's for sure! An example of this would be video games like Super Smash Bros.

I’ll admit I don’t play SSB but I hear their fandom is terrible because of a heckle of shit stains in the fandom throwing fantrums everywhere. I hear this through friends and nephew.
Doesn't it bother you when some uneducated fans see characters as what they are not? This occurs in not only the TLK fandom, but in many other fandoms as well.

Are you talking about the types of fans that go “This character is (name of health issue or sexual orientation) because I say so without proof” in fandom tags?
If yes. Trollhunters is full of these types of fans.
It’s also sad when they give you walls of text that isn’t even canon but speculation and fan theory.
It is sad that so many good artists waste their talent in making the worst pieces of dog dung in the world. Thank goodness this blog exists!

It’s also disgusting that some fans will go to great lengths to blackmail artists and make them suffer just so they will get more content from the artists.
I have noticed something: Crossovers may lead to shipping, shipping may lead to Rule 34, and sometimes Rule 34 may lead to real crimes. That is just disturbing and very wrong. Especially if they go too far. How would you feel if someone drew someone or their characters the wrong way and say "That would make a great rape victim". This is one of the reasons why I hate crossover ships. They never make sense, they're not creative, and they interfere with official relationships of characters/people.

I prefer crossover action/adventure stories over crossover ships myself.
i wish ppl on the internet wouldn't confuse politeness with thinking we are friends. just makes me feel bad and uncomfortable when they think that they been led on... advice to avoid this on deviantart?

I’m still trying to figure that out myself.
I get your point. I stumbled into a similar situationof being told recently that someone *may* had reffed a character of mine or may be a coincidence. I won't name names but I have a character with a pretty unusual injury, a loss of limb. If you take that away the two characters look nothing alike, but being a fairly uncommon trait (not unheard of I'm sure)in this fandom + it being the exact same foreleg amputated at about the same point and similar pose I just wonder. But I'll shrug it off.

Anonymous
Understandable! But I’ve seen other OCs with similar injury. It’s pretty uncommon really. As long as the character doesn’t look exactly like yours color wise I think you can let it slide, especially if the pose was very common.
Sure, I agree this person may be a little suspicios. I just don't want artists to be afraid of making something that might have been done before, it can happen, but I wouldn't start a witch hunt over it.

Wasn’t intending on starting one. If more evidence comes up, information will be updated.
I totally agree with you. What I disagree with is calling that piece a copy, theft or whatever. The pose is different, there's Kion added on to it, basically the only similarity is the cub on the back, which is very generic concept ... and I'm 100% TC96, wasn't the first to come up with something like that. Carrying someone on your back is just... I mean, I don't have to explain this, right?

I understand where you’re getting with, but this person is still being monitored for further proof of copying or heavy referencing.
I don't wanna point at anyone, because I believe that getting inspired is not a crime. But I'm telling you, you can see this kind of inspiration, at least once, in gallery of almost every artist. (Well, I'm talking only TLK on dA, I'm not following other fandoms.)

There’s a difference between being inspired, and copying off your inspiration.
I’m going to leave you with this video to answer any further questions you have about the situation https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hC0afviQw2w
When someone wants to reference a fan art piece, they need to ask for permission.
Artists are very protective of their copyrights. TLK art is in high demand. And the cheapest way for scammers and bootleggers to get free art is Google. So of course fan artists are going to be protective of their works.
If someone receives permission, they need to credit their source. It’s not that difficult to say they were allowed to reference from another artist.
If someone can’t get permission, they should approach it differently. Instead of creating unnecessary drama with their favorite artist. Unfortunately a lot of fans prefer to throw a fantrum and go ahead and trace or copy off their favorite artist when that artist politely said no.
Well, no. A lot of popular artists so it too and nobody seems to care, how is this any different? Besides the fact that they've blocked you, which seems to bother you the most.

That’s because A) They’re discrete about it (IE Nairon) or B) There’s not enough evidence to prove otherwise. But trust me when I say this fandom cracks down on the popular artists when they’re caught stealing.
