I was just shown this. Yeah. YCHs made out of traced screenshots or fanart is an absolute HELL to the NO. And to make matters even worse, they traced/heavily copied on paper. Further making other Traditional artists look bad.

TC’s cubs are the most stolen fan character on the internet. They’re so popular, kids (and adults) forget that they’re fan cubs. So they routinely steal them and their art for ‘tribute’ slide shows, story videos, and roleplaying on various websites up to and including Instagram.
Let me put it in a way that might resonate with my followers.
What if you have a really nice bike that you loved. Then some day a neighbor kid stole it, painted it a different shade, and then said, “I was just borrowing it!” when caught? That’s basically what’s going on here.
The person admitted to ripping her off, even acknowledged Asha and Koda as their source, but they weren’t creative enough with the cubs color palettes to break away from the mold. They wanted a slice of the popularity pie. So they took existing recognizable designs and just slightly changed them. The only real difference is the change in eye color. They’re still the same cubs and still the same story, just minus Leah.
TC has already stated that they don’t own the names. The problem here, is that they’re an orange cub and a brown cub, orange cub is the eldest daughter with the brown cub being the second born with the same flipped back hair, both sharing the name Asha and Koda respectively.
Were their pelts swapped, or given different pelts. This wouldn’t be a problem. But since they only did minor changes, it’s a problem
I love how that guy gave petty reasons as to why those people are the worst. They didn’t steal art, scam people, bully harass others, make disgusting content (to my knowledge), but they didn’t like his favorite things.

She’ll follow her parents into retirement to the jungle as betrothal and being an ordinary Pride Lander isn’t to her taste. She’s asexual by the way.

Please look up “the lady guard series” on Instagram. It’s awful. The directors of other series were trying to help them and it’s a complete mess. The director expects his one animator to get an episode out in 6 days.. he claims he doesn’t trace anything yet steals designs and just draws over scenes and uses royalty free music

But the guy making it just keeps tracing fan art and show art and saying it’s his. he keeps denying it. There’s also leaked stuff from his server saying “do what this series is doing!! Watch them closely and copy them.” They also abuse their animators. They expect them to complete 20 minutes of animation within 6 days. Also, another artist made them gift art and they commissioned one of their artists to heavily REFERENCE the gift art to the point where even the LOGO is the exact same. It’s fucking sad, I was apart of a 4 hour call in trying to get him to own up to it. But no, he keeps going..
