Three people total disagreed with them that whitewashing lions was racist. While I didn’t disagree with them flatly, I told them that lions technically don’t have a race and 90% of the 94 cast were white voice actors, and that this brand of finger pointing makes the fandom more toxic and takes the joy out of humanizing the lions and they hid the comments to where I couldn’t explain.
While I do agree that they’re in Africa, 2+2=4, this is making a mountain out of a molehill. Yes, systemic racism is a huge problem. But in fandom spaces, if people are drawing for the sake of having fun, don’t go picking fights. Just because they’re drawing the lions white doesn’t automatically make them white supremacists. This fear of being called racist or cultural appropriation for attempting to draw POC causes this backlash. It’s pointless finger pointing and makes the fandom worse.
Pervy is actually trying to make us feel sympathy for him. Well guess what, pedo? It ain’t working.

as a third party in that convo kash mentioned, it really was unprofessional and rude. i was promised we wouldn't need to call and when we got in the chat, the guy flipped the rules, even said "oh is it now?" when i brought up it wasn't part of the deal, just felt ominous af. they were worried about people screenshotting stuff and that is hella suspicious to me. ive been following the night pride series for awhile and my hunch was right, it was a huge scam and im so sorry for the innocent parties
also at one point when i started blowing the whistle, they banned me from the discord for “spreading rumors”, so that speaks a lot about their professionalism

Hey, sorry if this comes off as rude but I kinda wanted to add something about TNPS as a former member/writer of it. Madoa/"El/Padme" is legit god awful. The thing that mainly got them caught was that they were exposed for impersonation a real person. They claimed to be someone who works for disney when they're a minor and never has. Afterwards people who had previously been harrased and bullied by Olivia (/Padme) and her people came out about all of her crimes. She's drawn nazi, pedo, kkk and all kinds of other disgusting art. Her "boyfriend" (i think, it was either Baliyo or Keanu) was exposed for trying to rp sexual topics with a minor (who made it clear they were a minor and uncomfortable). At the moment we're fighting them bc after the closing of the series, some characters (mainly Saka, Amani, Msia, Uzuri, etc), were claimed/reclaimed by their original creators. But Padme and Keanu are trying to sell them on Toyhouse and claim that they have permisson. When they're being called out, they flip sides to claim that "no it was the OTHER person who stole them". So yeah, avoid Padme, Keanu, Baliyo, etc, at all costs and warn others about them. They are genuinely disgusting people. (Sorry, if that came off as rude or longwinded, also support the former cast members/workers who were also f*cked over by them! ❤)
Oh I’m well aware of her racist tendencies. I had seen that exposed video of El. When I first exposed them for using recolors(or ‘edits’ as the recolorist calls them), we were asked to go into a group chat so they could ‘clear their names.’ Well sir, we were met with a so called representative of their project group and he was so adamant at having a voice call(I only voice call unless I’m comfortable around people or tabletop gaming). He would leave the group immediately when he didn’t get what he wanted. Him having an antisemitic avatar didn’t make the situation better, either. It was making us uncomfortable. But El and group seemed to be welcome to the texting despite their oh so pruhfesshunable rep. I heard from the grapevine that he was never talked about or to in their server, either. So more red flags were raised.
El had also told me that they told the recolor ‘editor’ that they were cut from the cast. And last night I found out that was not the case.
I was also alerted to how El and Keanu are keeping characters after failing to uphold their agreement with the creators or VAs and are selling the characters on toy.house for more money.
I also suspect all that money they collected during the project, they pocketed for themselves. That’s why I don’t trust these fan projects. 9 out of 10 times it’s all a scam or they can’t hold themselves together long enough to produce one episode. What ever happened to just making a fan comic like the fandom olden days?
Although I’m not sure whether El claiming she was a Didney urtist came before or during the project.

With the cancellation and closing of the Night Pride Series project, they’ve deleted every other platform account, instagram, deviantart, but they’ve not yet closed their redbubble shop.
I’m gonna be honest. I was skeptical at first when I first heard of this and with them using recolors for concept art. And now it’s showing that my gut feeling was right.
I don’t trust any fan project in this fandom because 9 out of 10 times it’s all a scam or the people working on it are so toxic that they collapse before they can produce a single episode for the community.
So I’m getting word that a new animation project is going around with this copy pasta ready message to anyone who was on the TNPS project or another project. This just reeks of scam to me to be honest. They don’t offer actual money as a result and it’s like a better worded, “You’ll get paid in exposure!” choosey beggar tone.
I don’t trust any of these projects. They get the most toxic people you can imagine on the teams, they beg for money, and then you never see a finished product.
