I'm not even gonna mention their name, but it's the same person who dictates people about the colors of Vitani's fur/eyes and insists on Kopa's existence. And I just... UGH.
Ugh, a devout Kopa follower eh? I knew people used to complain about Nala’s eye color to the point of being ridiculous. We even had a similar situation with Valka’s eye color, they even had the balls to edit a screenshot to prove their point where there was no point to be proven. But Vitani’s eye color? Yeah the color filter makes it hard to distinguish what her eye color is. And Nala is a different situation. It’s like the color team doesn’t even know what her eye color is to keep it consistent from iteration to iteration.

Firestar is a warrior cat. Kaisertiger is the artist. And as long as they credit him, they can use their art. But knowing these populur channels, that’s not gonna happen. Because they pride their reputayshunz and vy00z and subscriptions over being honest. Ever since Youtube released monitization, it’s become a curse on the internet. People, attention whores, tools(whatever you call them) value views and subs and will do what ever it takes to get them.

I miss the bygone days of the mid 2000s where everyone praised original style in this fandom. That was the golden age.
But now, now this fandom has an addiction and that is called tracing.
Tracing has spiked in popularity over the last five years accompanied by the battle cry of “But my reputation!”
The root of the problem is hard to precisely pinpoint. I’d dare say it started with traced bases. But it starts with people blindly praising tracing. Even obvious tracing. It doesn’t help that the tracer lies that they drew it.
This post is not aimed at nobody in particular since 95% of this fandom is guilty of tracing for asspats and validation.
It’s true that tracing can be a good tool to teach. It builds up muscle memory and teaches you how things are drawn. And that’s how tracing should be used. Keep it to yourself and use your original works for validation and sharing your ideas.
But again. Too many people in this fandom are lying about being original with their works, either tracing off the film or other artist’s content and then passing off screenshots as their reference source. And that’s ignorance and theft. You’re also deceiving people that you can draw when, you’re really just putting up smoke and mirrors.
It wouldn’t be so bad if you just admit you traced your source, I do when I do them either for fun or to de-stress. But lying about it loses my interest and trust in you.
