one time i saw an anti comparing fanfiction to fucking propraganda, and that was the moment that me, a 16 yo who studied two military dictatorships in my country's history, decided that i def didnt want to be identified as an anti (and believe me, you dont need to be part of a group to dislike or be against pedophilia/incest)
it really speaks to the way people treat activism through such a capitalist lens: all aspects of daily life must conform to ultimate productivity in order to be worthwhile, including fiction and indulgence to the maximum
Purei mean efficient standard.like no, harassing people for things that squick you out is not the groundbreaking stand of bravery you think it is. like regardless of the age of characters (they could be two years apart and in their 30s ffs), student/teacher as a premise squicks me out to the point where it’s never gonna be enjoyable. it’s just not for me. and what squicks me out there could be exactly what someone likes about it as a premise, or wish fulfillment, or kink, or whatever the fuck it is. and that’s okay. i’m also squicked out by late stage pregnancy in pictures and visual media. i don’t gotta justify myself, man, and neither does anyone else.
like yeah!! ships with big age gaps or when characters aren’t aged up (there are some ships i have between 13 and 14 year olds that i don’t ship until they’re in their 30s for crying out loud) or ones between siblings!! squick me out and i’ll never understand the appeal of ‘em and those types of fics. but like, i don’t have to, to not harass people or make really big moral generalizations about people.
being a decent person really isn’t hard

It’s come to my attention that one can no longer reply to replies on the blog. So, this will have to suffice.
@maddi-sans I have to ask. Seeing as you’re ignoring the last three situations(not including the zoophile) that I’ve commented on, the DJ88 oc thief, the bigot scapegoater and yes, Sukala, why did you come to this conclusion?
Because Sukala only came to the surface of their own volition to apologize.
There is no favoritism involved here.

I wrote the journal addressing this situation, if you want to read. Does it make sense, the way I interpreted it?
I thought it was very well worded

i'm confused. what makes you determine when and when not to namedrop someone on this blog? someone tracing over TLK concept art gets them blasted, but drawing a whole TLKKK comic doesn't? i don't understand.
When they refuse to be civil and block me. That’s when I call them out. Since the KKK comic was resolved and handled properly without blocking, same for the recoloring of AnnieHyena’s art, names were not released.
Now complaining about people who “can’t take a joke” and I’m……
…..
Those “jokes” are usually extremely offensive that’s why people refuse to “take” them.
(via athingofvikings)
If it’s political satire, intending to point out that a person or organisation or group is in fact just as racist as the KKK, it may actually be acceptable.
Same if it is intended to point the finger at actual KKK members.
In all other instances, I would say that it’s utterly unacceptable
— To quote a friend of mine on the situation. They said it better than I could ever have.
I feel like this needs to be said. But using KKK imagery, even in joke, is bad in taste and socially unacceptable.
And using the, “It’s just a joke,” line is a terrible move. It’s never a joke if it leaves people uncomfortable as an aftermath. This IS racist and shouldn’t have been posted, or even made. Systemic racism is a serious problem and I won’t have it in this fandom.
