Fuck yea terrible Lion King fandom

They delete anyone who asks them politely to remove the recolored art. The original was done by DynExia on FA, aka SeekerSkywarp.

Made an overlay, as you can see, it’s line for line match.

laughable-lion-king-art:

Is it that hard to shit out boring OCs? Guess people would rather steal popular OCs than make their own neon barf OCs.

They even stole dietAsha!

Like Claire, I too, had heard about Leonzales’ art theft accusations. After Claire went through their entire instagram accounts, and I having helped with some of the overlays, it’s uhm, it’s not looking pretty for Leon. He’s apparently targeted and harassed small artists out of the fandom, and traces off of big name artists, thinking if he shifts it ever slightly, they won’t think differently. They also think that if they credit the artists, they can get away with recoloring.

image

@xxtc-96xx never gave them permission, TC even told me personally that Leon never asked, nor had permission to recolor their old art. That hyena is also Kohu-arts’ artwork as well.

What throws me for a loop is that an account is already fighting Leon’s war for them. They’re pulling up all the stops, using all the tactics in the DARVO ammo.

This neurotic stan even accused KingSimba for someone’s death in the comments. Like, actual fucking yikes on trikes, bruh. I’ve been around the block in this psycho fandom, trust me when I tell you that I’ve seen people fake their deaths and claim fake deaths before for sympathy, many of the times as an excuse to steal. This one just turned up the psycho volume. Fucking yikes is all I can say, man. Yikes. Yikes. Yikes.

Do not buy anything from this Instagram account. It is a scam. They trace and steal from other hard-working artists and pass it off as theirs. The line art they’re trying to make money off of was traced from WhiteDansha’s own art that was a commission for someone else.

Dumbass is crossing over into troll territory now. It even says on the original that the artist does NOT want their art turned into lineart.

It’s no surprise now why ScarMurington treats fanart like his own private coloring book. Disgraceful. Disrespectful.

i am seeing a lot of reposting lately, so here i am reblogging my own post. also, reverse google tends to only work for stuff like deviantart or twitter, so if you want to find a pixiv artist, use saucenao.

i cannot stress this enough, y’all need to stop supporting blogs that steal art. i don’t care how pretty the art is or how badly you want it on your blog.

Also: Rebloging is not the same as reposting!! If you see an artist on tumblr post a piece that you like SMACK that reblog button. But do NOT save/screenshot an image and post it on your own blog without getting permission

an art i made 10 days ago got reposted to Instagram a few days later.

the notes i got? ~300 on Tumblr, ~200 on Twitter. and it’s one of my more popular arts.

the notes the repost has? ~15.000 and still growing a few hundred every hour. traffic, likes, comments, interaction, recognition, praise, all of it going to a person who, with one click, stole something i spent hours making and years learning.

you wonder why artists quit fandom? this. this is why.

If you really want to share someone’s art and you don’t have permission, can’t get it due to language barriers, or otherwise it’s a pain to get this permission, just link to the piece without posting the image itself.

That way, you are not only sharing the piece in its natural habitat, you also give exposure to the artist themselves.

Traced right off of MafumasArt and handed back to them

No concept or self-awareness at all as to why this behavior is frowned upon. Getting the vibe that this person is only cuddling up to popular artists in the fandom in order to score free art.

Does anyone out there recognize the source for the lineart they’ve repeatedly used, here?
