Last night, I was contacted and shown a character thief in the fandom community. At first, I was reluctant, because the person (who shall remain anonymous) wasn’t being clear, and after the scandal with those two brats using me for an attack dog awhile back, you can understand my hesitance about such things these days.
But the situation is a Hungarian account is using someone else’s fan character from the Lion Guard wikia.
This person doesn’t have permission to use this Gina character, created by NightShade2k18.

where they’ve been posting edits of said character.
However, I’d also like to point to the original source of this cheetah character.
Wikia mods, if you’re reading this, remove those two scanned images posted by user Gingalover19, and the two by NightShade2k18, as well as https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/thelionkingfanon/images/f/f9/Lion_Guard_OC_2019_Redesign.png/revision/latest?cb=20230601230016 on that character page.
These are traced fanarts, esp from TC-96 who doesn’t allow it. The last one is actually a recolor of a recolor made by Naoki-TLK. You can see Bora through the recolor.
Given recent events in the fandom dealing with a parasite content farm account on youtube stealing designs, I felt like this would be relevant to share.

Art thief clearly doesn’t care that he’s stealing artwork for his oh-so originul pic, he won’t listen to those who tell him otherwise. So far, only Dyb has been found as one of the artists. No idea who drew Zira or Simba and Nala in the back.

I’m pretty sure Disney, in fact, did not approve of this art theft slide show. It’s also monetized so he’s also making money off fan art, Jesus wept.
This fandom has a lot of people who don’t understand how inspiration and referencing works.
Inspiration is the act of being motivated. It’s not an excuse to copy or steal what another person did.

There are many ways one can reference, but never reference others art or fanart without permission, or risk being accused. One must always credit the original source if you got permission. Crediting Google or any other big time social media site is not crediting.
Just a reminder, if you already have Gingadensetsufan12 blocked because of their blind worshipping of Scar(among other reasons), they’re using their alt account, LionKingforever1 in order to continue the trend on fan comics. If you see this account commenting on your comics, block them and report for block evasion.
I thought something felt off about their art…

They knew exactly what they were doing. They clarified that they took inspirashunz from TLK fanart on pinterest and listened to some chucklefuck on another video. They also deleted every comment that wasn’t TC’s calling them out on their theft.
